I was very excited for this place. Beautiful setting in a park, cute old time lodge, made into a restaurant. While the food was decent, (would have been better if it came to me hot. It was barely warm) my sister and I were treated so rudely and shortly by the waitress that served us. She was the older woman with short white/grey hair and she was not nice to us!! Being that I am in the customer service industry myself, I know that sometimes you have a bad day. But you have to put on your game face and treat the customer with respect, which we did not get. So for me, that made my experience just ok. Can't say it made me want to go back which is disappointing.

Fantastic for weekend brunch and the only place in Mission to get even close to a ‘fine dining experience’ in the evenings. Prices are surprisingly reasonable too, given the quality of the food. A bigger wine list would be the only hope...

Great place. Rustic but with a refined touch. The food was perfect (appetizers, entrees, and dessert), and staff was friendly and very attentive. Go! It's worth it.

We had a wonderful dinner there not long ago. Very tasty and hot steak dinner, yummy salmon appetizer and nice glass of wine. Lunch is just ok, sandwhich was a tad expensive for what you get and was quite dry/Under seasoned, not a fan of their super sweet pickles coleslaw. The MAJOR bummer at this place is the service. The staff, every single time I've gone..never ever greet you. You stand there feeling invisible for quite awhile. While they wander around looking everywhere but you. Lol Having spent many years in the restaurant business myself, eye contact and acknowledging customers is HUGE!! If they're busy, simply say hello with a smile and let them know you've seen them! Literally every time ive gone there, I've stood there for quite some time before anybody says a word or looks at you. No smiling, nothing Very strange. Uncomfortable. Not welcoming. Bit snobby for a small town eatery! If they worked on smiling and overall friendly/welcoming atmosphere we would come way more often!

Homemade, fresh, locally grown food. Friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. Large outdoor patio with views of Mt. Baker. Mission's Jewel, simply the best.
