The Black Sheep Burgers and Brews

New to Owatonna, best burgers we have had thus far. Staff were friendly. The beef bacon ratio on my sandwich was over the top! Next time we look forward to having ice cream at The Blast.

Nice little old house in the corner! Great spot, nice inside outside design, good brunch Sunday, and great selection of beer.

Terribly terribly unmanaged. The long line and bad parking wouldn't matter if the food was good. Tough dry burgers, greasy tasting fries. Unmanaged waitstaff, Really disappointing. Update! Just drove all the way to Apple Valley to go to Red Robin! Yum!

Nice surprise. Had some time to kill and looked for local spot. A little hard to find trust the map. Inside is small but cool decor - barn wood and corrugated steel. The special was French dip which was excellent.

Awesome burgers. Great craft beer selection and service. Small place so expect to possibly wait.

Edit: As they have updated their hours, I must update my review. Like I said previously, it's a 5 star place to eat with excellent food and staff. I highly recommend it. Honestly it's one of the of best burger places in the area and one of my favorite places. I recommended it all the time, however their new lunch hours have made eating there impossible for anyone who's not local and available over the lunch hours. It deserves 5 stars but good food isn't any use if the place isn't open.

All I can say is WOW! My family and I just moved to Owatonna and I was recommended this restaurant from my new coworkers and we decided to try it out. Absolutely the best burger I have ever had! Burger was cooked perfectly, onion rings were the best I've had in forever. Beer selection is amazing and the staff was great. Place was busy and there was a small wait but it was worth it. Definitely going back!!

This little gem of a “burger joint” has no parking lot and maybe 10 tables. The service staff was friendly, empowered and all around excellent. The wait was much shorter than anticipated. Daily specials were available but we were there for one thing: burgers. And they did not disappoint. Well, me, anyway. More on that in a moment. I enjoyed easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. But hold on for the rant. This is one of those places where you can’t specify how you want your food cooked. I don’t understand this! I’m the one who is paying for it so why can’t I have it cooked the way I want it?! I like my burger medium rare. The waitress didn’t specify what the default doneness was but she made it clear medium rare was not going to happen. I asked her to let the cook know I wouldn’t mind if he pulled my burger off the grill a little early. My wife likes her burger done medium well and she commented to me after we left that her burger was over cooked. Buyer beware.

Best selection of craft beer anywhere around and totally reasonable. Food was great and more than we could eat. If you like great beer and a great choice of burgers it’s easily the best value in town. Also a shout out for their taste in music. Well done.

The food was amazing. The prices are normal. The beverage menu was very impressive. The restaurant itself is very small and I think we waited 20 to 30 minutes just to get a seat. They have a very small window of time that they are open, but the food is worth the wait. I can't complain about the service, as the waitress was very nice and personable. We tipped her well. I would definitely go back. The only thing that I will complain about is that wait. You always have a wait.
