We had the haddock and chips and the captain's platter. The portions are huge and the fish is incredibly fresh. Also excellent dessert options. We had the fried Mars bar and the German cake. Highly recommended place!
The haddock lunch special are very delicious and value for money. The fish batter is not thick, crispy outside and moist inside. The house cut potato fries are very good. I'll try the halibut and house salad next time. Looking forward to it.

Based on previous positive reviews, I decided to try this out. I was not disappointed! The staff was friendly, the food was great and the diner decor was very retro but clean. I would recommend this for an inexpensive, casual dining experience.
Enjoyed the meal.Good sized portions. I had haddock, wife and son each had the captains platter. Waitress was friendly. It was obvious that the floor had just been washed. Very clean place. Will definitely repeat.
We are from. Outta town, stooped in for a bite to eat. Amazing and tasty food. You gotta try the deep fried Mars bar. Left with full bellies,portions were quite impressive. Our server was very bubbly which is hard to find now in the hospitality industry. Kudos to this place!!!!!

Really greasy and stale fish with not much fish inside .Most were fried crunchy batter falling out giving illusion of fish. Soft and stale chips as well. When we told the server .He started explaining how it's so authentic and the style the fish and chips usually are.We were very polite and expected "I'll change it" .He gave us a headache with explanations and became kinda defensive ". If you want fresh fish ,forget about it. I have had fish and chips many times from other joints .this was the worst in terms of taste and portions. Hope they improve.
The slice of fish is very thin. Too oily. Feel more like eating oily fried bread than fish! Nice staff tho, the only reason I didn't give 1 star
They pack their takeout in plastic containers instead of cardboard so by the time you eat it it's soggy. Also they say home made tartar on their menu but it's just packets.
