amazing service, the food is delicious and worth the money. the staff is incredibly kind and always remembers return customers! I brought my boyfriend from Montreal and he said it was the best steak he's ever had! the atmosphere is very lovely too. Beefeater is the place to go if you want amazing food made by people that know what they're doing!!
This restaurant would qualify as fine dining. They have a good wine list, food selection and a great atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Steaks were done to perfection. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. A great value for a nice evening out.
We were here last night for dinner and it was a great experience. Unlike many other restaurants, you haven't cut back on staff and it really showed. Service was fast, efficient, and very pleasant. Even the owner and his wife were walking around helping out which was really nice to see. Food was very good and the ambiance was perfect. The only negative thing I could possibly say was that the starter salad was lacking, one tomato wedge, one cucumber slice and some bagged lettuce was just not quite what I expected. For a higher end restaurant I guess I was a little underwhelmed. But still gave 5 stars because overall it was a good experience, and the steak was fantastic. We will definitely be back.
We went here last night for date night. Food was so amazing everything was great. Service was great to start but then got a bit busier and our waitress seemed to be overwhelmed with everything so the service lacked a bit towards the end. But it was definitely a great meal. We've gone here a few times and seemed to be inconsistent but cannot say that for last night's dinner. Love that his is a local restaurant and I love supporting that.
My family has been coming to the Beefeater since I was a teenager and the food is consistently excellent and the service superb! It continues to be our favorite today! Many years have passed since my earliest experiences, but I sure enjoy amazing food and new memories made with my dad! The best service and staff in the city! Parking: Close to the door and easily accessible!
We decided to take company from BC here to experience real Alberta beef, and the steaks were delicious...I highly recommend the chef's sauce, and the stuffed potatoes! However the lobster left much to be desired, and I felt that much of the menu could be things made at home. They were out of the cheesecake too : Overall very pleased and will return
The Beefeater has been a part of my life a lot through the last several years. I ate here the night I got engaged, for my bachelorette/bachelor party and numerous birthdays for my now husband I. Our most recent visit was for a birthday and the experience definitely had myself and our guests not overly impressed. It took over 3 hours for 14 guests to have a meal with dessert and coffee. The restaurant was so packed and busy. I’m sure our sever was ready to cry by the end of it. Things were brought out in weird orders. I was not offered the Cesar salad even though it cost extra.
My companion had the soup and stake, I had the salad and stake. The soup was ok but the salad was pretty sad, the steaks and potatoes made up for it. I wish they had beer on tap. Friendly service and a short walk from the hotel.
The absolute BEST food in town, with incredible people. I had to take a picture of the food AFTERWARDS because it was to good to remember to take a picture. The prime rib is a MUST!
Used to live in Medicine Hat. These folks are at year 45 operating their amazing steak house with fire pit. We don't get to Medicine Hat often anymore, but when we do, we go for steaks at the Beefeater...what a treat today! Filet Mignon, cooked perfectly for my friend and I. Salad's were fresh with nice dressings. Service, top notch! We missed the crab legs...maybe next time. See you again, for sure!
