Came for dinner and left satisfied. We ordered the combo dinner for our table of 5 adults. The lamb and chicken dishes accompanying the combo were delicious. More than enough food for us and to be honest most likely would have fed up to 6. In addition to the fantastic food was the great service of the staff. The staff was prompt and checked to make sure everything was satisfactory. They even found time to crack a joke and put a smile on everyone's faces. The atmosphere was relaxed and definitely a place I would recommend to have a nice homestyle meal. I will definitely be back!
We’ve tried so many restaurants in Calgary and Edmonton, we drive all the way from Calgary because there are some impressive restaurants here that we miss in Calgary, but after trying this restaurant today for the first time, we know now that this is the restaurant we are looking for! It deserves more than 5 stars every single plate was perfect! The lentil soup, fattoush, lamb mandi and chicken Tajeen! Fresh juice and a delicious cup of tea at the end! Every thing was truly perfect! We were tired of eating the same taste of food at each restaurant we go to, most of them are the same and you go out not impressed and you might not come back. For the first time we try food with perfect salt and spices and wonderful taste. Even though we didn’t book and the restaurant was almost full, we were served right away and the service was excellent from everyone there. We are coming back for sure. This restaurant will be our destination visiting Edmonton every time. Very Highly recommended! Hopefully they will have a sustainable business for future.
Great place for Yemeni cuisine. They give you a lot of sauces/salads on the house which is great. We got 3 mains and split between 4 adults and then a bit for kids. The restaurant owner and staff are very friendly and the service is amazing. They went out of their way to accommodate our big group with no reservation.
Amazing place to try a different twist to the regular Mediterranean cuisine you find in Edmonton! Love the chicken kebab, lentil soup, and the Mashweeya Dip which is a spicier version of a Baba ghanoush. Very friendly staff which made it so delightful dining there. Highly recommend this cozy restaurant!
The food is very delicious and our server was very attentive and professional. We had the family combo for around $130. We definitely are coming back with other friends. BTW - this is the first time that we tried dishes from Libia. We know can take that out from our bucket list.
The ambience was just ok. Steak was the top notch 10/10 Chicken Tajeen was alright 8/10 Lamb Mandi was overly priced, quantity wise very less as compared to price. 6/10 They should review their prices and focus on quantity. They shouldn't be charging for sauces Overall experience was good 9/10
The Bedouins is definitely a hidden gem of the northside! Their North African dishes offer a unique taste of the beloved shawarma and kebab. The chefs cook everything to perfection and the service is top notch! Mohamad was very accommodating and charming, explaining the menu to our party and giving us great recommendations. He made sure to come by a few times to make sure the food was all good and that we had everything we needed Mashweeya Dip 1st pic Smooth and rich with a strong smell of spice and eggplant, the mashweeya dip was delightful on pita Batata Mbattana 2nd These potato bites were cunchy on the outside but soft and pillowy inside while the mince meat stuffing gave the patty a savoury and aromatic punch. Definitely gonna order again Chicken Tajeen 3rd & 4th Lemony, juicy, and super tender, the chicken tajeen is a must try! The rice and chicken are full of flavour and the dish itself is super filling, good for at least a person and a half Beef steak kebab 5th Juicy, savoury, and full of umami, THIS is how you did beef kebab! The steak bites were perfectly cooked and charred to give it a nice smokey flavour Shawarma Platter 6th Mild with a tangy kick, the beef is nice and moist and topped with a creamy, spicy sauce Grilled Seabream Fish 7th Perfectly cooked, tender, and mild but delicious, the fish had a beautiful lemony flavour and smokey aroma Couscous Liebe 8th A whole flavour bomb! The well seasoned lamb was super tender and juicy and paired perfectly with the mildly salty/spicy couscous and caramelized onion. If you're here on the weekend, do not hesitate to get this dish!
Heard so many good things about this restaurant. Was really wanting to enjoy this place. But sadly there were some dishes that were cold and not so great. I don’t know…. Maybe we came on a bad night?? Our food didn’t look like the pics other reviewers had posted… disappointed because I love Mediterranean food!! We got the chicken tawook wrap — the fries in it tasted bitterusually the result of being fried in old oil, there wasn’t much sauce in it to make it as flavourful like other places I’ve been to, there’s only chicken and fries and a brown sauce inside. It was also not very warm. Almost cold. The vegetarian option for the Barik was good. The bread they start you off with was actually very good! Was off to a good start because the soups were also very delicious! However, the kebab trio plate… the kebabs were very dry. Especially the kafta. And again, they were served with old fries. The chicken wings were very tasty but a little undercooked with some pink meat to show. We also got the tajeen J’ban and I really liked the texture and flavour of those but they were quite oily. Don’t know if it’s supposed to be like this. But overall, it was a tasty appetizer. I would like to come back to try their more popular dishes that I heard about. Maybe those will be better??
Great place to experience something new. I was served with a soup, pita, hummus and the main dish. The taste is like Middle eastern flavor. If you like spices and meat, this is a good place to try northern African and Moroccan food. I just hope that the staff and chef would have masks on all the time. Keep it up.
We're are traveling for a week, and this was by far the best restaurant experience we have had. Amazing service, delicious dishes, numerous compliments of the chef soups, hummus, tea + coffee. Vegetarian options: Not always available Kid-friendliness: Give out lollipops to children who finish their food : Parking: Plenty of parking around building for customers
