Overall this was a great experience! We were really excited to stay at such a vintage place for a reasonable price while we were in town.nThe room overall was fairly clean, they should definitely seal up the room doors as a ton of light is coming through all around the door. Hotel definitely needs to be checking tub drains and removing hair blockages so tub drains when showering. We removed it and let management know. Not a huge deal just little details that would make the stay a lot more comfortable.nManager was super friendly, front desk staff were easy to deal with. I'd definitely stay here again when in town. Another plus is there is a great pub downstairs, food and service is fantastic, lots of TV's for all the games. In the morning there is a great little coffee shop just down the street.
The Baker hotel is very affordable and central to downtown Cranbrook and this makes it so convenient to explore the town and enjoy various cuisines. The service was outstanding. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and pretty with coffee and kitchenettes if desired. After trying various hotels around the area I finally tried The Baker. I was very unwell at he time and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the personable, professional, and kind treatment I received. Thank you Shivam so much! Zoe you are a delight. I highly recommend the hospitality, and modern comforts of this charming historical building. I loved the vintage updates and art deco vibe of The Baker in Cranbrook. Thank you for making me feel so at home.
I booked a stay at Baker Hotel through Booking.com and accidentally selected the wrong date. I immediately acknowledged it was 100% my mistake and took full responsibility.nnWhen I spoke with Shivan, the General Manager, I wasn’t demanding a refund — I simply asked if there was any flexibility. Even applying the amount as a credit toward a future stay would have been appreciated since I pass through Cranbrook regularly.nnInstead, I was told it wasn’t his problem and nothing would be done. No willingness to help. No attempt to find a solution. Just a flat refusal.nnI understand policies exist, but leadership is about discretion and empathy. The complete lack of compassion in this situation was disappointing.nnIf you book here, triple check your dates — because if you make an honest mistake, don’t expect any understanding.
I spent two separate nights at this hotel in the exact same room I love it. I must say the staff are extremely helpful as I was struggling with my luggage. The front desk I forgot her name but she is one of the most Pleasant people I've met. The rooms are clean well maintained and Supply quite well. By that I mean there are dishes available refrigerator freezer microwave television this is a place to be if you're going to be for a couple nights and you don't want to spend all your time looking for food. The parking is manageable. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be staying there again. Oh and I didn't mention the wonderful sunken tub bonus
We really enjoyed our stay at the Baker Hotel! The rooms are well appointed and cozy, and we got upgraded from a queen to a king by the friendly young lady working the check-in desk. It is stairs only, but as long as that's not a problem for you I would highly recommend staying here.
