Couldn’t get into any breakfast places in the area due to long lines and randomly stumbled upon this place. There was also a long line up, but it went pretty quickly. I am happy that we ended up here! They have so many bagel and cream cheese options, both savoury and sweet. I opted for a veggie bagel sandwich, which was stuffed with fresh sprouts. It came with a side of chips and a pickle. The kids had buttered bagels and both gave thumbs up. Drip coffee was also pretty good. Paid $15 for all we got, which shocked me as that was pretty cheap. Will definitely come back again.
Really admired the hustle and friendliness of the staff. They worked hard to crank out the food and it seemed fairly priced for what we got. Pictured: pumpkin caramel latte, sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese, and a southwestern omelet.
1/6/2022 Revised to 5 STARS! Our little "misstep" was rectified same day showcasing their tremendous customer service. THANK YOU to the owners of THE BAGELRY!! Original review ... Very easily could have been FIVE stars but they forgot to put capers on my Lox Sandwich. :- The capers are the crowning glory on a lox sandwich as far as I am concerned. Other than that the bagels are perfect, the lox is fresh, cream cheese is very tasty and the price is right. The pickles were awesome!
This place has been a fixture in the downtown billing area for as long as I can remember and I have lived here almost 23 years. They have a great selection of 10 to 12 varieties of bagels, with another 10 or so varieties of cream cheese. And they have at least eight or 10 different bagel sandwiches they can make, ranging in everything from breakfast to lunch. They have a limited supply of baked goods. They also carry my favorite kombucha, made by kombucha town here in Bellingham. There is plenty of room for seating, but it can get a bit busy around the lunch hour. So plan your time accordingly.
I’m so happy that I can get bagel sandwiches again! I am not sure when it happened, but the Bagley is now operating with a fuller menu, including coffee as well! From what I could see all orders are done at a walk up window with no customers inside right now. You place your order and walk a few paces down to wait at another window. They have dedicated parking spots out front for those who decide to order online and pick up. All of these options to order are fantastic because I love the bagels and specifically the sandwiches they have on offer. At a great price you get a delicious bite with So many slices of cheese on it… it’s just a blessing in a circle shaped sammy.
Depending on what you get this is 5 stars. If you get the Rosemary Salt bagel with Garlic-Feta-Dill cream cheese then it is 5 stars!
Bagels here are very good. Staff was friendly and lots of places to sit and eat. Yummmm!
Lovely coffee and chai and an even lovelier barista. Isaac is amazing and made us a trilobite fossil latte art. Fair warning they don’t do decaf espresso
Their motto is something like "Enjoy a little luxury" and their bagels definitely are a fantastic little luxury. Toasted salt bagel, cinnamon walnut raisin spread. Doesn't get better than that for me
Classic Bellingham spot to grab a bagel and smear. Things are still a little different post covid, they do not have the bagel “line up” as they did prior. But inside seating and ordering has resumed. They have quite a variety of regale bagel flavors and some seasonal. My go to flavors are the sourdough, blueberry, and everything bagel. Toasted is the way to go. If you’re looking for something more hearty, they had bagel sandwiches and breakfast bagels as well. Friendly and fast service.
