Took my girlfriend here for Valentine’s Day and absolutely everything was perfect. The chefs did a fantastic job on all courses and Greg was the perfect server. If you ever go, ask for Greg!

Food Rating: 4 Service: 5 Ate there in September, 2017. I had a Manhattan. It was excellent and the only good one I had in NY in our 4 days there. My rating is based on taste and creativity. The bartender gave me fresh cherries instead of the traditional ones. Rating: 5 I had the mixed sausage cheese platter for an appetizer. Avoid it. Nothing special. May blunt your appetite, but did not whet mine. My rating is based on this dish's generally bland taste and the overly large serving size. Taste: 2.5; too large: 2. Overall: 2. For the main course, I had the Magret de canard. The best I have had in the US and as good as the best I had in SW France. Tender, moist, like the best steak. Rating: 5 The wine list is good and you can find excellent wines at a fair price if you are willing to try some non-French and non-West Coast wines. My rating is based on selection and value. Rating: 4 Coffee and Dessert: The coffee was good, but a bit weak. Rating: 4. My dessert was excellent. Rating: 5 Overall Food Rating: 4 Service at The Artist's Palate is like a well-choreographed ballet. There is always someone there when you need them and not when you don't. Rating: 5 The reason I am not rounding up to a 5 overall is because of the noise level. I was there on a Friday night and it was difficult to carry a conversation. Rating: 3 Overall Rating Based on All 7 Factors: 28.5/7=4

This is an attractive, inviting space with friendly, helpful servers. Our server explained the menu thoroughly and was interested in our thoughts on the food. We enjoyed our chacuterie appetizer. My branzino was delicious, my husband's risotto interesting. All in all, a nice place to enjoy a good dinner.
