The Arboretum

A hidden gem in the city. We visited on a whim while driving through and were pleasantly surprised. Beautiful grounds and plantings. The mini gardens are pretty. Offers a lot more and a must visit for all. Free entry to boot.

Grounds are well maintained and the plants are perfectly pruned. Even after heavy rain the water wasn't saturated with puddles. That made it very easy to walk around without getting drenched. The gazebo area has power outlets for electricity and has no steps making it easy for wheelchairs or strollers.

We parked right near the road on College and looked around wondering where all the pretty gardens were. After tromping through the brush and looking at some signs we finally found our way up to the Japanese garden and other things in that area. We started to get rained on shortly after so we had to book it back to the car but we will be back to check out the rest of the Arboretum soon!

Great place to experience nature in the city. Check out the great beginner friendly disc golf course.

Absolutely gorgeous. Well maintained. Loved biking through or walking. Enjoyed Japanese garden.
