Sheridan College

Sheridan is a good school, but could definitely use some improvements. Overall the students and faculty were great and put in decent effort to help me excel. Like with everyone, nobody is perfect. Striving for that will make this place amazing. For starters, the social life is lacking. I joined one club and went to the gym which was great, but pushing for the student body to have an impact and more say (publicly) would help to expand this. There was no casual sports (only formal) or numerous events outside of the pub so my social life was mostly built outside of the campus. The programs I took weren't objectively rewarding. There were students dropping out of courses to get a headway in others which put me at a disadvantage staying in them, rather than an advantage (as stated). I will praise the administration because it wasn't very bureaucratic like most schools in terms of I rarely visited them. And the school itself was nice and did its job. But overall I sit on the fence with Sheridan.

I went in for Early Childhood Educator about five years ago. Fantastic experience for the most part. Expert facility, friendly staff. I loved it there! I got hired in my field the day before my final exam.

Sheridan College is a fantastic institute for learning. I graduated from the Marketing and Advertising Communications program in 2014. My professors were all very knowledgable. I put in the time and hard work and made amazing friends at Sheridan. I was ready to start my career and landed a great position where I have been working for 3+ years now. Thank you Sheridan! There are great graduates from many walks of life I have met and they are all from Sheridan :) Work hard and don't forget nothing comes easy in life :) Stay positive thank you.

Administrative staff is garbage. Completely useless and not helpful at all. Refuse to do things for you saying it's "policy" not to when on the Sheridan website AND IN EMAILS RECIEVED BY OTHER STAFF MEMEBERS, it clearly states it can be done. Made me go out of my way to come back to campus to fix the situation. Pay for parking, which another thing, parking passes are WAY to expensive at this college compared to other schools. Over all a very stressful and not pleasant experience for me. Only reason why I continue to go here is it's a 10 minute drive from my house. None of my friends in other colleges have had such terrible experiences like I have. Save your money and go to a proper school like Humber.

DO NOT WASTE MONEY.... Diploma is useless! Professors have no real life experience in the fields they teach save for a few. Most are hired directly from graduating from the programs they teach...from Sheridan. Then they teach irrelevant drivel that was obsolete 10 years ago. Now not all Professors are like this, but the one I was so lucky to have teach Java in the programming course I took definately was.... And yes I did graduate . They promise help to find work after you graduate but that help for me was limited to... "you should volunteer to get experience to get work".... My understanding is that maybe the diploma I received should be worth something? Considering the thousands of dollars i paid for it? That maybe it should provide some sort of leg up on getting a career in said field... but it does not.... Truth be told go to a university as Sheridan is trying to become one. Do not waste your money here like I did....
