Thai Tanic went above and beyond - after an Uber driver stole our order they helped make sure we got a fantastic meal as fast as possible. Everything was exactly as ordered and amazing customer service. We will be repeat customers!
I went here for the first time before Christmas with my Grandma, mother and brother. We loved their food. Each dish was very delicious and full of flavour so we ordered 3 more takeouts for the rest of our family at home. I ordered the Yellow Curry, spring rolls and their Vietnamese Coffee. My grandma ordered the Mango fish dish, my mom ordered Pho and my brother ordered Pad Thai. Each of our dishes were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for your Thai cravings!
Summary: Nice cutlery. We stopped in at Thai Tanic for a quick bite one afternoon between appointments to find that the menu has very few vegan and gluten free options on the menu. The kitchen could do little to accommodate this dining requirement as most of their sauces and bases aren't something that we were told could be changed. There are, however, vegetarian options available. The decor is whimsical and the menus are artful and fun to look at. The cutlery is heavy and a joy to handle. The cutlery made such an impression that I photographed it! We ended up ordering fresh rolls. They were mostly noodle, and dry, as none of the sauces were suitable for our vegan and gluten-free needs.
I like the fresh vegetables and the sauces used in the dishes. The tofu could be cooked in a more appetizing way, but as a vegitarian/vegan you will have lots of options on their menu since the meat dishes can be substituted with tofu. The decor is so strange and the background music isn't great but we eat here for the food! The service is good too, never had a problem with the nice staff.
Second time ordering here, 1st time ok, 2nd time no so great. Drunken Noodles with Chicken, chicken was like rubber, noodles were a big glob of sticky noodles.
This place has the best Pho soup I've ever tried. I've been to many different restaurants for Pho, and none of them have come close to this. My goodness it was delicious. The service was ok, and the restaurant itself is average, but the food absolutely makes up for it. They're Pad Thai and Rad Na is also very good. Highly recommend. Good prices too.
Got the veggie drunken noodle for takeout, food was on time and service was good. Only thing is that some of the vegetables that came in noodle dish didn’t taste very fresh. Stomach felt a bit strange afterwards. The stir fried noodle dish also came with tomatoes, which I found very strange. Spice level was good for me though can handle medium-high levels of spice. Would likely order again in a pinch, but not not if I had another choice. I really think they could do better.
The vermicelli dish looks and tastes like something you'd get from Kelseys. I swear this cooked from frozen tasting chicken has BBQ seasoning on it
Getting good food in Guelph is difficult to get , so im very happy that Thai Tanic exists : service was great, nice Ambiente and most importantly fantastic food. Lots of fresh veggies and the chicken was great. Very well composed dish, will go there again for sure!
