Stopped here as a quick meal stop while passing through the city. Ordered the spring rolls, Pad Thai, Red Curry Noodle Bowl, and a Thai Iced Tea. The iced tea was awesome and I'd recommend it. The red curry and the pad thai had option for spiceyness. We got mild for the pad thai, and authentic for the red curry. I was skeptical it would meet my spice standards when the server mentioned it wasn't super spicy, but I was pleasantly surprised! It didn't have me crying or sweating, but I could definitely taste it. The total meal was about $80 after tip and we both took home boxes. We were originally going to get the summer rolls but they weren't available, next time I guess!
Amazing food and great friendly staff and owners. I always try to eat there multiple times if I am in Medicine Hat.
We live an hour away so most often we get the Pad Thai - my ultimate favorite -but my friend has had their famous pork dish, curry dishes and I've had their Mai Mai and Chicken Cashew. We have NEVER walked away disappointed. You can order the dishes mild, med or Hot - I like flavor but not too hot and I order the medium - My friend likes spicy so orders it HOT !! The way they present their dishes makes you feel you are in a Really expensive restaurant and it's a fancier restaurant than most !! They have reasonable prices !! We are going tomorrow for Our Valentine's Date !!
The receptionist from our hotel sent us down the street and we had no idea the gem of food heaven we were walking into when we entered. First class service and the best Thai food we have ever had. I wanted so many things, every dish looked fantastic as it walked past our table. Our server Jacob made a perfect recommendation for my pallet and a taste bud sensation danced in my mouth. T was surprised and delighted by his choices. He was also highly complementary of the Thai beer that was ice cold perfection.
We dined at this restaurant when it was located in Bow Island. It was excellent then and still is now. We tried Mussels in Spicy Black Bean Sauce, Keo's Spring Rolls and Drunken Noodles........all delicious and plentiful. The ambience was pleasant and peaceful and our server was efficient and polite. Thai Orchid Room definitely deserves the Certificate of Excellence award!
Whenever we choose a place to eat out in our home town, The Thai Orchid is our favourite! We love everything about it. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere the booths especially is warm, inviting and very comfortable, and the service is THE BEST. One feels valued as a customer and you are treated like royalty. There is nothing unflattering to say about the Thai Orchid. It is fantastic and we are very lucky to have restaurant of this caliber here in Medicine Hat!
Just had the best meal I’ve had in Medicine Hat and it’s not even close. The Peanut curry is phenomenal. Would recommend goong pow jumbo shrimp if you like seafood and the service is exceptional. This is my new go to spot.
We were lucky to get in! We think it was the owner who said they’d fit us in if we didn’t stay too long. We decided to go for it and have a quick meal. Appetizers were fantastic and the mains were too. We ordered the hot and it was nice, not what I’d call hot really. The waitress and service in general was excellent.
Everything here is absolutely delicious. The red curry halibut is my favourite! One of the best places to eat in town.
Extremely mediocre. Got their pad Thai and it came out soupy with no flavour. Hope the dine in experience is better
