4 of us enjoyed a wonderful Monday lunch. Our server Sigh brought us all waters to begin. Appetizers included Mango Salad, Thai Chicken Dumpling, Creamy Crab Puff & Salad Roll. We shared 2 Deluxe Rice Vermicelli Bowls with Spring Roll & Shrimp. 1 added Grilled Chicken & the other Beef. Very tasty & service was impressive. We shall return should the opportunity present itself.
I had the mango salad and Thai lettuce wrap and loved them both. I did give up on trying to wrap the food and mixed it all together like a vermicelli bowl instead, as the lettuce was all shapes and sizes. Great service. Clean bathrooms as well. Beautiful interior.
Wanted something different to eat on a night out and decided on some Thai food. Was told about Sabai from a co-worker and I must say it was a good decision. The food here was fresh, extremely tasty and portions were enough to satisfy. I believe if you try this establishment out, you won't leave disappointed.
SO AMAZINGLY GOOD. I'm so sad this is the only location, as we aren't from here, but I'd make the trip if I were near Medicine Hat! Thank you SO MUCH for the amazing lunch!
Our group performed at the Esplanade Theater last week and we always have a pre-show dinner with the cast and crew. This time we went on a recommendation for Thai and Sabai was suggested. We had lots of food ordered and everybody loved the meal it was great even considering it was take out. We ordered enough to have it on the bus the next day while going to Calgary and it stood up to that test also.
This was our first time and the food was as promised sublime. Sy, the owner , was known by most customers was a gracious host. We just moved here and are only 3 blocks from the restaurant. We are in trouble. Again probably the best Thai food we have had in a while. Vegetarian options: Enough choices for vegetarian dinners. From lemongrass tofu to buddha curry vegetable dishes
The restaurant always provides great service and the staff is always smiling. I enjoy their vietnamese dishes, as well as some of the Thai ones as well.The food you receive is always fresh, nicely prepared and presented and you are well looked after. definitely on my list as a recommended restaurants in Medicine Hat to friends and visitors looking for suggestions.
While visiting Medicine Hat recently, we decided to try Sabai as it had a good rating on Google. The owner welcomed us with the biggest smile and was very friendly. We ordered 4 appies and 2 main dishes. The mango salad was fresh and delicious and the salad rolls were very good. The chicken dumplings were good but over cooked. The crab puffs were the big disappointment. They were over fried with very little filling. What was in the filling was mostly cream cheese. The 2 main dishes were very disappointing as well. We had lemon grass chicken and seafood pad praram. The pad praram was a bowl of sad seafood and overcooked vegetables in a soupy broth. I expected so much more from a Thai chef. The lemon grass chicken was a similar version with soggy vegetables and little flavor. So disappointing! But the Vietnamese coffees were excellent! We were in and out in less than an hour.
Very good food. I find the plates to be a little small but they are priced fairly for the size. I would absolutely recommend this placeFood: 5/5
I have eaten here a few times. Food is generally good, but portion sizes are quite small. If you are a big eater or really hungry you will likely not be satisfied. For a light meal you will be OK.
