Decent Thai food with good ample seating space. Very quick on the service front so there’s very less wait time. A nit pick would be the poor cardboard boxes they give in dine in. Don’t think they’re the smartest choice for dishes that have gravy in them.Recommended dishes
First time trying Thai Express: Meal was DELICIOUS. Pad See Ew. I had never had Thai food before and I loved it. Decided to order again a few days later: Ordered and paid online at 730pm and selected a pick up time of 930 PM. Arrive to pick up my food at 910pm. Click the link in the email to let them know I had arrived. Worker comes running out and says "we're closed, the grill is cleaned" Why did it even let me select a time after closing? No one called me to say order came in for a time after closing, even though my phone number was attached to my order.. Spoke to the manager the next day and she offered me a resolution that was satisfactory after a very frustrating experience. Great customer service and the situation was handled well. Next attempt to eat here: Decide to order online for curbside. I picked a time the store was actually open. Arrived at 8:05pm. Clicked the link to advise I had arrived. 30 minutes passes and no one comes out.. I call the number multiple times no answer. I order curbside for a reason. I hate crowds, so this is extra frustrating. Finally just ended up going in the restaurant.. My food had been sitting there on the back counter for at least 30 minutes. They were just helping the next people in line rather than including me in the queue of waiting customers. If you're going to offer curbside pick up, a review of what to do when it gets busy should be had. Last entry: ordered curbside again this evening. Perfect transaction and the meal was amazing. Updating final review from 2 stars to 4.
I have been consistently going to this specific spot at least once a month for over 2 years because it's the closest to my home. Compared to other Thai Express location in HRM this is hands down the worst one. Not so bad that you can't visit, but this location is at a firm steady downhill pace. Here's why : 1. Staffs doesn't want to interact and seem annoyed most of the time, aka rude to customers. 2. The cook doesn't follow orders made 1m from them very precisely. Either the cashiers and cooks have zero communication or the cooks straight up just don't care. More than twice my food wasn't cooked completely, luckily the protein meat are pre-cooked otherwise who knows if there will be a more serious food poisoning. Was asked about the spiciness of my food but came out completely wrong so why bother asking in the first place. Issues like these etc... 3. Most days when stuff at the "condiments bar" runs low or out they don't get replenishes or refilled at all. The only good thing I have to say is the location seems clean and enjoyable to be in. If these problems persist I'd rather pay $2.50 and gas to cross the bridge back and forth to Halifax side instead, no hesitation. Am currently only staying for the occasional good.
This location is awful. The men that are cooking keep looking at the slips as if they don't t understand. This is the 1st time I've ever waiting so long. Watching them work was painful. Paper slips on people's food. Hands in food. Will never go back to this location again. Cashier was taking orders and assisting with food without gloves.
Had an excellent meal here, I had Tom Yum soup and pad Thai delicious, If you’re looking for some Thai food in around this area is the place to get it i. This is more than the food court this is like a standalone restaurant we can pick a date or dates : Very clean and the staff a good place to go Plus it’s very close to Pasco Walmart in movie theaters , Great location If you like this review give me a thumbs up
Today I have come with family . Honestly the service was very bad the chef was rude enough. I highly recommend please think before you go.. thumbs down
We order Thai Express at work quite often and unfortunately we need to use this location. Every single time the boxes are not marked. We need to open them all up and see what is what. Also some people get mild, some get medium, with the same meals. No idea which is which. I’ve complained in person, I’ve complained to Uber eats, I’ve emailed Thai express, I’ve used their “contact us” on the app, and I’ve used the “contact us” on their website. Nobody has ever replied to me. I mean how hard is it to write what peoples orders are on the boxes??? I almost always end up choosing the mild one when my coworker chooses my spicy one and then it’s awkward to switch. Such an unneeded annoyance and just pure laziness. These orders are $200+ Every week, it seems like you’d want to continue with our business but I guess not since nobody replies and nothing changes. In the future I’ll pay extra to have another location do our order and if it still continues we’ll switch to Wok Box
Got the green curry and pineapple cake from this place tonight. Curry was the saddest thing I've ever seen. Mostly rice, hardly any chicken or vegetables and the creamy sauce was dribbled on. Basically sold me plain rice and a small side of stir fried chicken and vegetables for 12$. Never again. Oh, and the $6 cake is a cupcake. Picture for reference. What a waste of mine.
I've ordered from other Thai Express restaurants and they were good. I got food from this location via Skip and it was awful. The pad thai was dry, had hardly any vegetables 1 piece of broccoli, some carrot slices and a few sprouts. I ordered spicy but instead got completely bland. Horrible. Can't rate this low enough.
Best Pad thai ever! I love their food and how you can customize it.
