There is not one bad thing to say about Texas Lunch! Even this picture doesn’t do it justice. The food is absolutely delicious in its own Texas Lunch, unmistakable way. Fresh ingredients, unbelievable flavors and all at a price you can’t find elsewhere. We ordered the TL burger with all of the fixings, chicken tenders, the Texas Dog, onion rings and fries. Everything came out hot and delicious. The fries, onion rings and tenders were crisped to perfection and the burgers and dog was the best we’ve had in a long time. The restaurant itself was immaculate and the servers are some of the friendliest people. We enjoyed it thoroughly and can’t wait to go back.
To be completely honest, besides the great food..my daughter & I enjoy the great company & warm welcomes from the amazing employees! These girls are all just great. They make sure that you are welcomed with a beautiful smile & "hi how are you" those simple words go a long way especially in the world today. They are so efficient with everything they do & you would never be able to tell if they were having a bad day. That right there is a huge part of professionalism. Inside is Always very clean & has such good energy. Highly recommend this establishment for staff & food. If I could give 500 stars, I would! Thank you Kid-friendliness: the menu is super kid friendly & so is the staff!!! I just moved back into town after being in another state for 12 years. I had to go to Texas to get hot dogs all the way. Mmmmmm.......soooo good! I was happy they were still around. Folks, if you've never been here, you have to try it. You should get a YooHoo with it, too. That's almost tradition! They have hamburgers, onion rings, milk shakes, etc. If you're traveling on I-84 get off at the first exit in PA, or the last exit if going east/north. Go into Port Jervis one mile up and go right to TEXAS LUNCH. You'll be stopping here if you try it, for sure.
First time. Didn't realize it was a sit down joint to, and i wasn't asked if imy order was here or to go, so i had to lay out my own stuff after getting it in a paper bag. How do you run out of lettuce and tomato at a place that your second most served food is probably Hamburger, after hot dogs... if the ordering manager can't keep up with supply and demand of basic ingredients, there's a save a lot less than a mile away! Order taker was a little attitudy, but this was probably just a reaction to my surprise and annoyance of no lettuce. Opened up this tiny little dry round hamburger $13 bucks for a meal that wasn't worth more than $8. I'd say much better place for kids, which is the only time I'd probably come back, with them!
Picked up an order of hamburgers today. The owner graciously said they were on him as we were there in the past and the place was closed due to an employee emergency that we were not aware of. My mother-in-law was with us and had not had Texas Lunch in 20 years and was dying to get lunch there that day. Today she enjoyed her burger as well as I enjoyed my cheeseburger. They were delicious as where the fries Thank you Texas Lunch for making my 90-year-old mother-in-law happy. Fantastic place for lunch. Be sure to stop there !

I ordered 2 hot dogs with everything. That's Texas sauce diced onions and spicy mustard. The sauce reminded me of Texas wieners where I used to go when I was a kid. I'm assuming it was the owner's I spoke to behind the counter because they asked me if it was 1st time there. I told them yes and they paid for my lunch in full. Very friendly and good great service.

Sloppy, overpriced, and generic food, nothing like Texas Lunch used to be. It's a cheap restaurant in a vintage suit. 3.95% extra for paying with anything other than cash on already overpriced food was insulting especially with a 3 dollar fee dial up ATM on site. I grew up eating here, I try to still come in once a year to give it a shot. The secret sauce is water down and bland in comparison to when the original owners where here. The patties are average sized, the buns are cheap, and the cheese is American, this burger costs north of $6.50 then add almost a dollar for sauce. I wish I could love this place but it seems every year there are more decisions made towards increasing profit instead of quality.
Chili Dogs are delicious especially when you order with loaded fries. Friendly staff and a beautiful server.
