Came here a little while ago and still remember how good the burger was! Not trying to be fancy like so many burger places lately but just good and classic with great toppings. Stopped at @bensfresh_portjervis_ny this Memorial Day We had a chicken bacon ranch #quesadilla and Ben’s Chicken & Fries. I also had the famous Cannoli Parfait YUM.
Food is great and the chef even brings it out to your table. Always seems super busy again, great food definitely best to look up the menu prior to going because when you walk in the menu is on a chalkboard and there is A LOT to look at. Only downside to this place is that is it very dirty. Spider webs and even spiders all on the walls, a huge web connecting the soda machine to the bottom of the ice cream list accompanied by a big harry spider is not what I’d like to have in front of my face while getting a drink.
I was told this place had good burgers, after having one I'm hard pressed to believe anyone voted them to be the best in the Hudson valley without a threat being made against their lives at the time. The service was slower than molasses in the middle of winter. Meaning it took more than 15 minutes to be able to order while only having one person ahead of us. The saving grace is the ice cream is okay. No I wont contact you, I have no interest in eating there again.
Since we started coming to Ben's Fresh, we've been regulars here for about a year now. First I have to say that the manager is amazing - he is never satisfied to just offer the same food although that would still be welcome, but he's always coming up with some creative entree - his amazing variety of grilled fajitas and quesadillas especially! And he's obviously a great leader for his staff because while typically HS age kids they're all terrific at what they do - polite, friendly, but quick and always on task. We have been bringing groups to Ben's Fresh now, and they haven't missed a beat; this place is always busy with on-site and take-out but the service remains great.
Fresh & delicious tasting burgers with a homemade sauce! Definitely come here knowing that I will get a well made burger with quality ingredients. Also saw they use peanut oil! That’s awesome! Beats out any major chains imo.
Can't love a place that you frequent and get all your kids bday cakes from but when you show up 20 min to closing he locks the door when your are walking in, 6 ft from it. Not cute!
My previous review accidentally gave one star. I love Ben's Fresh and eat there very frequently. I finally figured out how to fix the stars to a very positive review. They have an extensive menu and the food is really good and reasonably priced, the staff is friendly and it's a comfortable restaurant.Atmosphere: 5/5
When I ruptured my achilles; The delivery people were always so nice and understanding throughout. When I went to go shoot some photos, Bobby was incredibly gracious and helpful. The food is great, the staff is awesome, and they deserve their awards and standing in the community
