Go to KMART and Albertson and other stores, you can find better price. I recommend to rent bear spray here. The rental price is better than buying one, and you probably can't bring it back home or throw it away, so rental is a good choice. Propane: $3.98 at Albertson Camping Chair: $9.99 at Kmart. It's brand new by the way. Coleman Ice box: $14.99 at Kmart. It's brand new by the way. You got much higher price for weekly rental, and the item condition was reluctantly usable. I had a reservation, arrived on time, but the clerk ignored me and chatting with a couple for evening activity. Overall, the business is okay. However, you can definitely find better deals at stores in Jackson Hole.

Awesome service. Rented a mummy bag from them and chatted up the guys working there on suggestions for good hikes in GTNP.

Got an awesome ice axe and crampons from TBR. The ice axe was incredibly light, and together with the crampons, this equipment became invaluable , and lifesaving. Thanks guys! Look it's me fording a river with my TBR equipment in the Grand Tetons ! Also they have a great dog Indy.

Finally visited the shop in person and loved it! Pat runs a tight ship, and the other employees seem very knowledgeable and helpful for customers who come in with questions. They give a thorough bear spray demonstration! Also, they are very diligent with cleaning the gear. Everything is inspected and cleaned upon return, so only super clean and quality equipment leaves the store with customers. Disclaimer: I do website work for TBR, but this review is my honest opinion.

A couple of buddies and I made hasty plans for a trip to Yellowstone. We did not want to scramble to get gear and worry about getting it to Jackson. TBR made it easy. We ordered everything online, and Jake had everything organized for us before we arrived. 10 minutes in and out - we packed the vehicle (this place is great for car campers like us), and were on our way. It was the trip of a lifetime, and Teton Backcountry Rentals helped make it happen.
