A previous employer rolled over my 401k into an IRA that got passed around to several financial establishments before it finally landed with TCF. I've been trying to transfer those funds into my bank and so far I've gotten nowhere. Gmail sends correspondence with these guys straight to the spam folder. They won't give me an account number or log in credentials despite me answering all of their security questions. Apparently all of their branches tie into the same national 1-800 number so I've been waiting on hold. Why would anyone willingly do business with this bank?
