I needed desserts for a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend. Wanting to support a local small business, I googled and found Tasty Layers and decided to give them a try. I began a conversation with them on Facebook messenger and got enough information to call and give them my order. They were very patient while helping me decide, I had no idea what I wanted. I was able to reserve for the following weekend and pay over the phone. Pickup was easy. They are asking customers to wear a mask in the store, not a problem for me, but will still allow unmasked customers to enter. I ordered several varieties of cupcakes, chocolate & caramel dipped pretzels, chocolate covered bacon, cake pops, chocolate covered strawberries, and chocolate dipped peanut butter cookies. Everything was amazing. All the guests asked where I got the desserts. I was extremely happy with the turnout. I will be back anytime I need sweets.
Tasty Layers did an amazing job on our wedding cake August 6th, 2022 Moist, Light, Very Pretty and Delicious. We had Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting and French Vanilla with Butter Cream Frosting. I showed them 2 pictures and they fused the 2 together to create our lovely cake. All the guest and myself, loved every bit of it!
Thank you so much for a lovely and delicious cake! All flavors we asked for - almond, vanilla, and chocolate - made everyone’s tastebuds happy. The birch tree style frosting was so petty, and when some rose petals and baby’s breath from Vogt’s were added, the cake was mesmerizing. Thank you again for helping make our day so special!
I’ve used Tasty layers for all of my special occasions. I just left the bakery to buy cupcakes, the woman came from the back yelling at me telling me down have her go in and out of the case for your cupcakes. She was so rude, just a total turn off. So disappointed in the way I was treated, I didn’t even look up when she was speaking. I almost said I don’t want the cupcakes I just purchased. I will not return. Looking for a new bakery for my Twins birthday cake!!
Delicious wedding cake! Very well put together! Easy to work with! Best wedding cake my husband and I have ever had! Definitely recommend!
Not about the baked goods themselves but a listing on indeed for this business... $10 an hour to work in a bakery for 8 hours and 6 days a week?! That's laughable! Good luck finding somebody to fill that position they'd be better off at McDonald's for that wage.
The cake and cupcakes were sooo good, We didn’t even get a taste. Had to hide cupcakes so we could eat them after it was over. Absolutely beautiful wedding cake and cupcakes! Thank you for a wonderful job.
My order was incorrect thru doordash. Called back to see what happened and not even an apology. Its the principle. The person answered the phone and just said I don't know what happened I wasn't up there. No “Sorry for the inconvenience on our behalf no anything” When a company makes a mistake they should at least acknowledge. The door dash driver was at least decent enough to apologize.
Tasty Layers provided a breathtaking cake for my wedding that my husband and I will never forget. The staff was easy to communicate with throughout the whole process of picking out and deciding on a cake. My husband and I went to their shop and tested out different flavor combinations by tasting their delicious cupcakes. They have tons of examples that support their intricate cake decorating skills. On the day of, the delivery went smooth with no complications. The actual cake was incredible. It was moist and we could not get enough of the frosting. My guests complimented the cake ALL night long. The cake was decorated just how we envisioned it. It was truly “Pinterest Perfect!” It was such a pleasure working with the staff of Tasty Layers. We will always remember our wedding cake and how delicious it was!
We had a unicorn party! Staff were east to work with and friendly, from ordering to pick up. Cupcakes were better than I pictured. Loved the color and details to the mane. Would definitely order from here again!
