Taste Blends

Taste Blends really suits the name for this restaurant. We would 100% recommend you to try the south Indian dishes they offer. For the starters we ordered the "Rasam Vada" and the "Gobi Manchurian" and the portion size was well appropriate for 2 adults and 2 kids. Then for the main course we ordered "Uthappam" plus "Mysore Dosa" and "Plain Masala Dosa". All the food was well cooked and at perfect temperature for eating. Above all the food was really tasty and spice level was moderate. The server was courteous and ready to help. Even both owners came one by one and checked with us regarding the food and offered more Sambar and chutneys. The restaurant was clean and had lots of options for sitting area. We will definitely visit again.

Bold flavors and everything was cooked amazing! The chicken biriyani was super nice and you could tell that the spices were different from dish to dish. Definitely an adventure for your taste buds! The only dosa I've ever liked is the one from back home but this one could give it a run for its money. Service: our waitress Divya was super nice and her recommendation was super as well. We were fairly well looked after however, it would have been nice if our waters were topped off more frequently. Atmosphere: fairly open with some interesting decor. Wonderful first experience at Taste Blends! We ordered the Kerala Thai subbed veg options, and ghee roast, parotta, and tea! Everything was soooo delicious, and the portion size was big too! I’m South Indian myself, so I am pretty picky when I try the food at a restaurant but I thoroughly enjoyed every single dish and their sides. The lemon garlic pickle was so good, and the kerala matta rice is a must! Melvin, our server, was super awesome! Highly recommend and will be returning

I recently had the pleasure of trying a new restaurant and was blown away by the delicious food that I was served. The flavors were bold and unique, and each dish was beautifully presented. We ordered their special pothichoru, meen pollichathu and chicken biriyani. Their food is by far the most delicious and authentic kerala dishes that can be found in Edmonton. Absolutely delicious and huge portions!

One of the best South Indian restaurants in town! Love how they bring the traditional of parcel rice, Pothichoru that is wrapped in banana leaves and use the leaves as your plate! Not mentioning they have Saturday buffet which is in a good range of price!

We enjoyed buffet luch with our family. Foods are great. but couple things found is the mutton Biriyani has less taste when compared to regular food. No starters at all. Less selection of vegetables. Great services and friendly welcome by the crew.Food: 4/5

Amazing buffet very good tasty food. Mutton is a bit disappointing it has a strong smell and not the best meat, hope you can buy better quality mutton. Chicken & dosa are very good. Will definately come back

I tried around 6 items and all of them were delicious. Specially the biriyani. It’s quite different compared to the other Indian restaurant in town. For starters, the fish pakora was out of the world. I don’t find this type of fish pakora in other restaurants. In the picture, there is a item that looks like noodles but it is a rice dish. This is a unique way of making rice and it tastes good too. It’s take out place but they have a decent sitting arrangement. Nice and clean place.
