If you are gluten sensitive, and LOVE LOVE LOVE desserts, tarts, and pastry-based foods, this IS the place. I found them at the distillery district's Christmas market, and just visited their store in Etobicoke. Man, the tarts are amazing, and so many flavours! I bought a chicken pot pie, a beef pot pie, and an apple pie. I am so excited to try these pies. Folks, go check out Tartistry! It's worth the drive, and you won't be disappointed!
Ordered an assortment of 6 butter tarts maple walnut, pecan, coconut, lemon curd, cheese cake- $4 each, or $3 each for 6! The shells kept their pastry texture/flakiness well , especially considering they’re gluten free. They also sell gluten free savoury pies and shells, tourtiere, and quiche in the refrigerated section. Cute live music on sat mornings.
We came across the Tartistry pop-up shop while dining at the Distillery District, so we decided to try a few of their tarts. They were yummy, and definitely a great option for gluten-free tarts! We tried the original, cheesecake, chocolate peanut butter, and lemon curd. All were good, but the lemon curd was the standout; a nice balance between tart and sweet.
My first time at Tartistry, and my first time having a butter tart! Absolutely delicious! A great selection of butter tarts and other yummy treats. I highly recommend this establishment.
Very cool hidden Gem. I have driven by multiple times but always wanted to visit. Dont be me, stop the first time! There was a live band playing jazz. Lots of art on the walls and an excellent selection of pies and tarts, etc. They also have a large selection of hot drinks. Definitely give it a chance if you are in the area or looking for a unique place to stop at on a date.
The most charming cafe I’ve been to in a long time… real good tarts and great coffee but the highlight was the jazz band performing at 1130am on a Saturday! Now that’s how I would love to start all my weekends… coffee & jazz!
Excellent butter tarts with a wide range of flavors. Avoid the vegan ones however as the filling has the texture of chunky cat food
Scotch tart oh my goodness, this place is a must visit. Loud conversations and pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely be back to try some more. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Dietary restrictions: Vegan, keto, gluten free, some sugar free.
The best tarts evaaaah. Try the Scotch one. You will not regret it and all gluten free. Amazing.
Chicken vegetable basil tart, homemade soups & cornbread were delicious! Freshly brewed Americano was VERY good and butter tarts were amazing ! Service was great and owners are very personable and love what they do! It was our 2nd time there. Loved it both times. First time they had live musicians . Nice lighthearted atmosphere. Everything is very artistic including their small dining area. I hope to return to pick up a large gluten free apple pie or pumpkin pie from their cooler. Dietary restrictions: Everything is Gluten Free! Many vegan options !
