This place is spectacular! Justin the manager was fantastic. He and the other staff were calm and attentive despite what was obviously a very busy Wednesday evening. I only had the Calamari which was cooked perfectly. I also tried the Salmon wrapped Shrimp which was smokey and wonderful. They even had music Jeff Beadle which was a perfect addition to the terrace, water and historic setting. What a stellar culinary experience. This place is an absolute gem!! Don't think a out it. Go there!
Taris hosted our wedding reception just a few weeks ago, and we're still living on that high as they did an absolutely amazing job!! Justen, the manager, was our main point of contact. Simply put, Justen is worth his weight in gold and then some!! and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Justen was easily reachable to answer questions and provide details, checked in when needed, kept everything organized, was so attentive, and most of all we felt comfortable trusting him with helping put together a beautiful event and he did!. We just dropped off some of our décor prior to the wedding, and Justen and the team at Taris took care of the rest on the day of. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated the owner has great taste!, is located in a gorgeous spot right on the water with the bridge view, and has a lovely large tented patio that we were fortunate enough weather wise to enjoy. The restaurant was closed for our wedding, so we had the luxury of the entire space for our guests, and we truly felt like VIP. The food menu at Taris we found was great and offered variety to all guests. The chef, Sydney, did a heck of a job on all the food for the wedding - everything was delicious!!! Taris had a wonderful staff on that night working hard to ensure everyone was taken care of and they nailed it. Our family and guests had a blast, and we've gotten so many nice comments from them since about how much they enjoyed the evening at Taris, noting the great food & service. We would without hesitation recommend Taris to anyone thinking of hosting an event, or even just for lunch or dinner! THANK YOU Taris team - Justen, Sydney, owners Leda & Tom, the wait/bar staff as well as everyone else that had a hand in making this a beautiful evening for us. We'll see you soon!! A&N
Five 5 Stars all around. Pleasantly surprised. Presentation was pleasing, flavors were fresh and balanced. Service was also very good. Menu items were correctly priced. A lot of local restaurants should look to this establishment as an example of the level of care and ballance they should aspire towards. The staff, owners, and chefs should be proud of the food experience they delivered. I will be a returning customer.
Came across this place while going to the medical center. Menu looked good and it had decent reviews. Overall we were very impressed with this place. Wine list wasn't extensive but had a good selection. My wife and I shared the delicious shrimp Provencal which had lots of fresh veggies. My wife had the fish tacos which were good, a different sauce on each would have been better. I had the mixed greens ceaser with a very tasty salmon. The greens and dressing were delicious. Service was excellent as was the view. We'll definitely be coming back to this find
1 st time asked what the specialties were ? A and chips. Fish was flacky and fries, shoe string small, ok, nothing great for a restaurant. Calamari was ok, again, just simple. Sent back my coke as it was flat, and I got another flat coke. Our table had dripping down the inside of the window. It's disappointing in general. Staff was friendly. View was great. Save your money and get better food from the gourmet food trucks.
Meh Super slow service even though we went to Saturday dinner and went with expectations of slow service. From sitting down to ordering was 30 mins From ordering to food coming was 55 minutes. We entered at 8pm, food came at 923pm. Food quality was MEH, nothing out of the world for the price. But we may just be comparing with GTA qualities. Servers were very few and they looked tired and worn out. Kitchen staff seemed overwhelmed They were all very polite but could not explained much to why insane delays. The patio area ppl were equally frustrated and were vocal about it.
I didn't eat there yet; was giving a tour & just took a menu and checked out the location. It was beautiful inside and out. The folk "on the water" looked totally happy having a meal on the waterfront experience but inside the restaurant would have been a pleasure too! Its definitely a go to experience for Welland!
Food was good but not the best part of the experience. Atmosphere and service is the reason this night was so memorable. Our server paid attention to the small details that make all the difference. My daughter had a Shirley Temple and I mentioned in passing that she liked the cherries and next drink she loaded up her drink with cherries. That is what makes an experience go from good to great!!!
Made our reservation on Open Table for 7:15. We were seated on the patio with a spectacular view. Our server was so attentive to us. As soon as it started drizzling she got us seated under the tent at an open table and when the rain became worse she let us move yet again. I haven't seen this place since it was The Bridge years ago. It has had quite a beautiful face lift! Our food was amazing with a unique flair. Our Spanish Coffees at the end of the night by the light of the bridge and listening to the rain was a perfect end to our night! Thanks for everything. I will be back!
Our first time here and it was so lovely! Enjoyed the patio seating & having drinks. Our server was very nice and checked up on us a few times. Our food was amazingly well portioned especially the crispy Brussels sprouts. My husband isn’t a huge fan of Brussels sprouts but he enjoyed them with added on bacon! The pork schnitzel was so good. Very large portion! Would definitely come back! Parking: A good amount of spots for parking Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp if your park in the back to go in the restaurant.
