We saw Tamales Mexico at the St. Catharine's farmer's market and couldn't resist trying out the food. We bought a tamale to split and a chocolate concha to try. The owner was very kind and was able to answer all of our questions. She had a nice set up and was able to offer food hot and ready to eat. We ate the tamale the moment we arrived home and were in love. It was so flavourful and delicious. The concha we tried was chocolate, but she also had vanilla and strawberry. We will for sure be trying the vanilla and strawberry ones next time we go to the market! It was so soft and easy to pull apart.
All I have to say is wow. The tamales are delicious and I would highly recommend everyone to buy some. The hand crafted quality of them and the love put into them is amazing. Also, Carolina was very kind and quick to respond to questions that I had. Overall, I would give this joint a 5/5. Definitely will be buying again in the future!
The tamales are delicious. I really recommend Carolina. She is very professional and everything she cooks is excellent!!!!
Everything that Carolina prepares is so fresh and delicious. The tres leches cake is moist and texturally perfect yet not overly sweet. All versions her Tamales are wonderful but in particular the mole sauce is the best I've had. In my limited experience with Mexican cuisine, mole is a very difficult sauce to get right but Carolina nails it; it's very well balanced.
Tortilla soup from Tamales Mexico. Soooo tasty. A must try and it's gluten free!
Beyond good. The tamales are super fresh and absolutely delicious. My only regret is not discovering these sooner. We will 100% be back.
Tried the food at the St. Catharines farmers market and immediately got addicted, the Tamales are so delicious! Definitely worth a try.
