Pretty chillin place. Nice ambiance, with a giant communal table with ample outlets for group laptop work. There is a Shaw open wireless. The bubble tea selection is different than your typical fruity flavors. I had the charcoal roasted milk tea. It was a lighter bubble tea, I just wished it was served chilled instead of room temperature. They also have food that looks pretty good, but i didn't get around to trying it out.
they were cool with me putting bubble tea in my own reusable container :D the place feels very chill. hardly anyone in there either time I went, so it's not too loud or crowded. they've got a TV on the wall playing nonstop fail videos which is entertaining. the bubble tea is pretty good too, and so was the takoyaki. recommend.
The place is gloomy feels like a funeral home. The service I received is sad. She doesn't want to be there, not friendly, and slow in service. The staff tried to ripped me off not giving back the changes. There was only one person in front of me ordered one drink. It took her awhile to make it. The drink I ordered was gross. I threw it away after a couple sips. Don't waste your money and time. Go to dream tea house behind it. It is way better!
Nice selection of bubble teas. They're pretty tasty. The actual store is pretty clean and looks nice. I would recommend going here. They don't have much for food though, just some daily specials and service can be a little slow since its one person preparing everything.
Really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I won’t be back. My boyfriend and I ordered two bubble teas, 2 green onion cakes and an order of popcorn chicken. One of the bubble teas was the wrong flavour. Our green onion cakes had no actual green onions, but a flavourless green powder. The popcorn chicken was mostly chunks of chicken fat and pieces of skin, I’m assuming it’s all the chicken scraps not used in other dishes. Dinner was pretty disappointing, so we won’t be ordering from here again.
The workers are quick to help you with suggestions and questions in both English and Chinese, and they are welcoming. However, I think there is room for improvement. When I went there, one of the workers don't seem know how to make the drinks very smoothly, and there were only 2 workers that shift. I mean, how can you put two people there only when one of them don't even know the steps of making most of the drinks by heart? When I was there, I ordered 2 drinks-- Jasmine green milk tea with pudding and the mango and strawberry smoothie. Both drinks are wayyyyyy too sweet. There is only a small hint of the jasmine green tea in my drink. Other than that it tastes like sugared skim milk. The pudding was also very soft and quite running. I would like it to be more firm. Somehow, the pudding flavour just did not go well with me. It tasted like banana and coconut milk. It certainly tastes different than the pudding sold at Gongcha or Dream Tea. The mango and strawberry smoothie was so sweet I just couldn't drink it for more than 2 sips. The flavoring for the mango and strawberry tastes very artificial too. I would like to see them use fresh and real ingredients, and perhaps cut their sugar levels by half. I do have to give a thumbs up to their pearls though. Their pearls are small and chewy, unlike some of the other bubble tea stores which are slightly mushy. Additionally, they do not have ice in their drinks. That being said, they do leave too much of a space when they fill your cup. For both of my drinks, there was a 2cm gap between the surface of my drink and the lid of the cup. I felt a little cheated on due to that gap. I would like to see them fill it up a little more. Overall, I was hoping the management could do something about staff training and the recipe, then maybe I will come back and give it a try again.
The popcorn chicken is to die for. I've tried a few bubble tea places in edmonton that serves popcorn chicken, and the one here is definitely the best so far!. Always come for the fresh fruit slush. Place is chill and relaxed. Their rice bowls and savory dishes are good, but do ask server what it is prior to ordering.
If you have ever experienced amazing and memorable bubble tea then you will agree this place makes the WORST bubble teas. Fresh fruit that tastes nothing like sugar makes me question how much fruit I am getting. When you order no milk and it looks like it has some milk then most likely there is powder. That’s just the bubble tea powder. I did not feel like I was drinking fresh strawberries or pineapples or mangoes or coconut. It’s was just powered up. Now speaking of food. We order noodles with soup. The noodle bowls come out first and sit there for 10 mins. Then the meat, egg, etc. We waited 15 mins but no broth. We finally ate. My boyfriend felt that it was mediocre food. As a big foodie myself, the food was awful. 100%bland. You have no idea what flavour you are eating. The soup was not flavoured well and tasted artificial. The meat had a strange smell to it. I was so hungry but unable to eat much. There was nothing good about the food. Truly had no real flavour. I was extremely disappointed. especially because reviews were not bad. I will advise not to waste time. They do not accept credit card with tells me they are trying hide money from the government. We don’t see that in Calgary if at all. Bubblemania Calgary will set your standard for fresh fruit bubble tea.
I like their charcoal roasted milk tea. This is the only location for that particular flavor. The most recent visit there the chracoal flavor was a bit light but it was great every other time I was there.
Nice decor. I love that it actually looks like tea house. Their main star selections are the actual tea flavours which is a refreshing change from the overly sweet fruits and crazy flavours. Nice food selection as well.
