2022-Oct-19 Update: Came again for the hot chicken sandwich and was not disappointed. Also found out that the kitchen closes an hour before they close so make sure to get there before then. Came here for a late dinner and was surprised to see it quite decently busy. Looked like there was a large group there so it was fairly loud. Cool that they had a small 8 course mini golf $9 pp. We had a watermelon mule and it was pretty simple but tasty. I had the Nova Dawg and it was pretty good overall but wished that the dawg was a sausage or something more significant as it tasted like a normal hotdog. Wife had the Hot Chicken Sandwich and was pretty happy with it. Not the best we had that was in New Zealand, but close enough to it and available. Overall, worth a visit.

Absolutely love this place! Best advice I have for you is get a big crew together and plan to do some mini golf while you’re there. The whole place has a great vibe. Plan it in to your brewery route as it’s right in the barley belt in YYC. Food is incredible, you gotta try the spicy chicken sandwich. Loved this place when it first opened. Ever since, every meal I’ve gotten has been horrible lol. Either completely flavourless or insanely oversalted or just poorly prepared

I’ve had two wildly different experiences with the chicken sandwiches here. Three days ago, we picked up some chicken sandwiches to go and they were so good! Plenty of chicken, wonderful flavours we got spicy and honey butter and the fries were perfect. We decided to treat ourselves again and ordered for delivery, and what we got was completely different. The chicken sandwiches were slimy, small and had zero flavour on them. No sauce. Buns were not toasted and the whole thing looked just…sloppy. Way less fries, and they were barely warm. The whole thing was super sad. I know a lot of places don’t offer the same quality on delivery orders, but this was wildly different. It was like we ordered from a completely different restaurant. If this was my first and only experience with Taiko and Zilford, I’d give this a one star and never go back. I would have given a 4 for the other day, so I’m averaging out at 2. I know for a fact this place can make a really good chicken sandwich, but I’m really disappointed on the quality control.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Taiko Canteen in July and it was perfect. It’s such a great space for a small wedding with its relaxed and fun atmosphere. The team at taiko was super flexible on letting us totally take over the space and fit it to our needs. The food was incredible — if nothing else, this is THE reason to have an event here. Everything was top notch, and they were VERY accommodating to dietary needs, allergies etc. trust me, we have a lot of that in our group. We 100% would recommend having a wedding reception here. Especially if you want something relaxed and unique!

We came here with a group of 9. The drinks were amazing, watermelon mule was my favourite. The food was great too, the best being the gojuchang cauliflower. The pork belly, shrimp, and cauliflower baos were also great. Mini golf was really fun too. Only issue was the service was a bit lacking - had empty water glasses and empty drinks constantly and had to call the server over multiple times.

I went with a friend on Sunday and the service and food were both TOP NOTCH. We ordered the Popcorn Chicken, Lucky Bao, Wings, and the Hot Chicken Sandwich w/ Gochujang Glaze and a side of Honey Parm Waffle Fries. I highly recommend the wings since they were really juicy and falls right off the bone. Our server Kayla was the most welcoming waitress ever, she recommended us the best food all thanks to her! She takes care of all her tables and does the best job regularly checking on us in the most friendly and efficient way. Keep it up!

had a great night here, the course is amazing and challenging! there was a small issue and the staff went over and above to make it right for us. food wasn’t the best sometimes slightly over-seasoned but i will definitely return because of the friendly staff and i need to get par on hole 3!

We hosted our holiday party here and it was a blast. The food is incredibly delicious, and the bonus of the lucky putt as an activity was well enjoyed by everyone. Definitely recommend for a night out or booking it for your holiday party!

Had our birthday here this past weekend. The staff were amazing, accommodating and hard working serving us food and drinks. 100% would recommend. I love a good challenging putt-putt as well!
