Service wasn't very good from the beginning. We were forgotten for like a good 30 min. And than the food was terrible. I asked for Mongolian beef and the portion size was horrible. The fried chicken wings were not even fried and they're frozen. The only thing good that I ordered was the crab Rangoon. But other than that everything else was really bad. The fried rice was even terrible! Would not recommend at all. I spent like $80 on this terrible food which makes it worse.
My husband and I ordered Tae Fu on Christmas Day, take-out. We live in Villa Park and used to frequent this restaurant years ago, having great experiences. Unfortunately, last nights meal was an indication we will not be returning in the future. Sweet and Sour sauce almost had a ketchup taste, container for sauce was only half full. Breading for chicken didn't taste or look fresh. The items that were fried fresh were very oily/greasy, and the Orange Chicken had an odd consistency and flavor. They also forgot to pack one of the rice containers. Before tip, our total was $46+. We ended up throwing over half of our meal in the garbage after a few bites. Everyone who works there is super sweet so I hate to leave such a poor review, but the food is what people should be returning for. Would recommend elsewhere.
The visit was disappointing. No longer do they offer a variety of steamed buns. There are two options under Dim Sum but were not what I had in the past. I was really looking forward to the buns. Also, they no longer offer a variety of teas. I recall loving the vanilla and, I think, mango teas. When the hostess/server/busser sat us, she did provide a pot of tea. It was very good, the typical tea offered in Chinese restaurants. We ordered egg rolls little filling, crab ragoon excellent, honey chicken looked and tasted like bbq chicken, and Teriyaki chicken very light color, didn't taste like Teriyaki. Both chicken dishes had vegetables mixed in and were tasty, but not what we were expecting. There was only one woman taking orders, serving, bussing and assisting with carry outs. She was very pleasant considering her workload. Unsure if I will return.
We've ordered from here several times since moving to the area in 2020. It was always good, but the past couple times the quality has really gone down. Last night's order was the most disappointing yet. I was really looking forward to Hot & Sour soup and what I got was so watered down that I didn't even want to eat it. I feel bad saying it because everyone working there is always so nice, but I think we'll start looking elsewhere for takeout.
DO NOT ORDER HERE. This is the 3rd time we order and the food is cold and wrong. The containers are not even full like they used to be. You order something and they put more vegetables and like 7 pieces of meet. I order tons of food for my after Christmas diner, I got every single order wrong, I got it cold, I picked it up for the same reason I wanted nice and warm. I had missing items. This is my last time ordering here. All this place cares about is taking OUR MONEY and it’s forgetting about their quality of service they USED TO HAVE!.
Tried this small oriental joint out last week. Food was slightly above average. Service was great and waiter was friendly. First dish we tried was the orange chicken. Chicken had a thick layer of spicy sweet sauce and the chicken was still nice and crispy underneath. The hot and sour soup was phenomenal. Vegetables in the soup still had texture to them with every bite. Little bit of sour and little bit of spicy.
Horrible experience here Christmas Eve night 2022. So we had a reservation for 4 at 630pm. Me, my wife and our four year old twin girls. First they sat us down with no menu and completely ignored us for almost 40 min before my wife went and found a menu for us. So we finally picked out our food and flagged down our waitress to order. Then the waitress came and walked away before we could order drinks of any kind. So we flagged her down again and asked for 2 sodas and 2 berry smoothies for the kids. So we got our food and atefood was great and then we couldnt find a waitress to ask for a bill and some togo containers. This place only has 3 tables of people so its not like they were busy. So again my wife went up front and got 4 containers as me and the girls were finishing up. Then all of a sudden i have a older women rush out of the kitchen walk up to me and take the plate from in front of me as i politely tell her 3 or 4x "im not done eating". She just ignores me and takes my plate of food anyway and walks away to get our bill. So now my wife is putting the coats on the kids and i go to start the car which is parked right outside the door so its warm for the kids and the same woman pokes her head out the door and glares at me. We then pay our 90 dollar tab and leave having being treated horribly. I would not recommend this place espiecally if you have kids. This older woman seems to be nuts and has no manners in front of peoples children.
I loved this restaurant but not anymore. I don't know what happened with this restaurant. Food taste change really bad. Maybe ownership or cooks changed. Before I recommended to my friends but not anymore. I don't wanna go back to this place.Food: 2/5
Ordered beef chop suey w/rice and a happy couple w/rice. Asked for packets of soy sauce, hot mustard too. This place is 0.7 miles from my house and it took almost an hour to get what tasted like YESTERDAYS RICE-DRY, CRUMBLY AND TASTELESS! BOTH ENTREES HAD WHAT APPEARED TO BE WATER WITH A TOUCH OF TASTE OF FOOD! AND HERE'S THE KICKER- MY SEAFOOD COMBINATION WAS PRETTY MUCH TASTELESS AND EVERYTHING, INCLUDING CARROTS AND Cabbage, shrimp was it's usual not so tender self but the lobster probably imitation!wasn't juicy or tender and fluffy! It was dry and really stringy! I will NEVER EAT ANYTHING FROM THAT PLACE!!! I PAID $37.00 PLUS TIP FOR DRIVER AND GOT WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE THROWN AWAY YESTERDAY! I called and spoke to the same women who took my order and asked to speak to the manager, which, while I was making this complaint to her, spoke over me in the middle of complaint reading me my phone number then said " supervisor call you when he here!! Thank you, bye, bye and hung up the phone!!! Seriously, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED FROM ANYWHERE ELSE THAN THERE!!!!! YOU ARE WARNED!!!!
I think this restaurant is under "" PENNY PINCHING NEW MANAGEMENT "" This used to be a great Food restaurant Very fresh dishes I loved a noodle soup with lots of veggies and different kinds of meat and Sea food very Delicious BUT NOW IT'S MORE NOODLES THAN ANYTHING I ONLY GOT 3 LITTLE SHRIMPS AND 6 POUNDS OF NOODLES VERY POOR ON VEGGIES NOT GOING BACK THERE MY PREDICTION IS IF THEY KEEP UP THIS PENNY PINCHING STUFF THEY ARE GOING TO LOOSE THEIR COSTUMERS AND UNFORTUNATELY CLOSED 4 GOOD
