After being a long time customer of the Szechuan Express in the Eaton Centre when I worked downtown, we went to the sit down restaurant at Vaughan Mills. Nice atmosphere, very clean. Menu offerings are plates to be shared. Our selections included Crispy Ginger Beef my favourite and very difficult to find a good one and Sesame Chicken with two orders of steamed rice. The food comes out very quickly but in no way seems like it was sitting around in a hot table be prepared for it to be the temperature of the sun if you dive in too quickly. Crispy Ginger Beef was just like I remembered it. Hot, crispy with ginger and heat and perfectly paired with steamed rice. Sesame Chicken was good but not nearly as good as the beef. Servings were generous with enough leftovers for another meal for two need to add steamed rice. Staff were very attentive and even brought over a pitcher of water for the table when they saw our water glasses emptying. Just a warning that drinks are not refillable.
Authentic szechuan food. The service is great our server made sure that we ordered the kind of noodle that we want by pulling the picture on his cell and he even told us that what we ordered is good enough to feed two people. The thick black bean sea food is delicious the fried rice chicken is also very tasty. The green tea is made on demand and fresh. It does taste better than any other restaurant. A + and a 5 stars. I will come back and take with me my friends and family. Vegetarian options: You can always order vegetarian stuff with tofu Parking: During the holidays and special black Fridays it us difficult to find a parking Wheelchair accessibility: Everything in this place is 1st floor . Street level. Accessibility is not an issue.
We were the last customer that day, and we had a great dinner overall. I love everything we ordered, especially the mango salad, it's a must try. Can't wait to go back there again.
Surprise!! Honestly I don’t have any expectation on this restaurant at the beginning. I thought it just one kind of fast food chain in food court, but it is not the same. Beef noodle soup comes a bit spicy, beef is tender and noodle is chewy, overall B+. Chicken Khao Soi is a big surprise. Curry soup carry coconut taste, sweet and hot in balance. Crispy chips and noodle mixed with soup, it’s a perfect combination. It looks a bit pricy but portion is big, also it has good quality. It worth the money.
1. Hot and sour soup - Not good, its bit sour and seems like not freshly prepared 2. Chilli chicken - Its crispy and well prepared, probably must try item 3. Shangai Noodles - Not good, Noodles are pretty thick and flavour seems to be bit smoky without much taste. Btw there was no chicken visible in this dish.
Kids were hungry after Legoland and this popped up in our path. Glad we stopped by! Mongolian beef was great and so were all the other dishes. Wish they didn't lock up all the patio tables and claim they were all reserved though.
Pretty good restaurant. Mostly westernized Chinese menu with some other Japanese options. Decent flavours for food and nice interior decor.
The food was amazing, this restaurant never disappoints, good portion sizes, we had spicy peanut tofu, Buddha's feast and spicy eggplant with jasmine rice. Service was great Food: 5/5
I have been coming here quite often, and as far as food is concerned, today was great. We ordered the vegetarian Spicy Eggplant with 2 sides of rice. What caught my eye, and could potentially serve as a heads-up to anyone reading the review is this: When it came time to pay the bill, I was goinig to use my card. Upon requesting the machine, the wait staff asked for my card, and asked if it was a tap-enabled card. That's when I saw they had actually put 15% for the tip. I wasn't asked, and I didn't input that number. I then asked for the machine to do it myself, lowered the tip amount to what I was comfortable with, and paid. Whether you agree with the tip amount or not, please make sure it is YOU who is entering the % value that you feel most comfortable with. It seems to be poor etiquette for the 'wait staff' to pre-enter a tip amount/percentage.
I normally love eating here, the food is usually really tasty. This time I did take out and I was very disappointed by my peking BBQ pork. It was hard to chew and swallow.Food: 1/5
