Synchronicity Healing Center

I have been on the mailing list of Synchronicity for several years but haven't had the time to stop in until yesterday 2/14/18. I checked the website for the hours of operation and saw that they close at 6pm. After work, I got on the road and knew I would be cutting it close, so I drove just under the speed of sound to get there....which is a 45 minute drive. I arrived around 5:45 and saw the front door still open. Being that this was my first visit, I expected to be greeted warmly and friendly. Instead, what I got from the woman behind the counter was "everybody is cutting close tonight, I'm closing in a few minutes." NICE attitude! I didn't even bother telling her it was my first visit and had been looking forward to stopping in. Luckily, because I shop at Dreaming Goddess in Poughkeepsie, I knew what type of gift I was looking for and they did have several items at the front of the store that I could choose from. Thank GOD I didn't need to browse much longer, I probably would have gotten my head chewed off. I could see the woman walking to the back of the store hurriedly to start closing up so this rushed my shopping experience. Anyway, I chose some nice gift items and paid for my things. The lady behind the counter tried to exchange a few pleasantries with me as I gathered my things and then I left. Not a good first impression of customer service. But I won't hold it against the store as I am sure not everyone is short and curt like this....at least I hope not. I did glance around the store quickly and saw some nice things so I will probably return when I have more time and make SURE it won't be near closing time. If I receive the same type of treatment, I will NEVER return and continue to do my shopping at the Dreaming Goddess which is worth the 59 minute drive. Staff there is ALWAYS friendly, even near closing time.

Great place to explore. While I didn't interact with the staff that much I can't testify to whether or not they are kind or helpful. I did really enjoy seeing all the stones and things they have. Nice assortment. I feel bad that the single mom had a bad experience there, that really is a shame. I would like to hear that they are truly understanding and supportive here.

A little tight or small for too many people to fit in the store. BUT they have a lot of neat stuff and very nice staff.

I’m a runner who recently experience an acute Achilles injury and I came to Synchronicity for a sports massage with Marcus. At the injury’s onset, the pain was as intense as pain during labor and childbirth. I tried rest, ice, heat, compression, chiropractic, NASAIDS, stretching, foam-rolling, self-massage, and therapeutic ultrasound, with some but minimal success. Marcus was warm and immediately put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. I had a ninety minute massage and was curious to see how it would work. Walking out of the store, I felt as if I had previously been wearing prosthetics and had suddenly got my old, flesh and blood legs back. It was one of the strangest physical sensations I’ve ever experienced; a softness, suppleness, and gentleness in an area of my body that had been in so much pain for weeks. After that, I was able to resume running (a week before I had hoped) and the pain continues to decrease. I will return weekly as a preventative measure. Besides being super talented, Marcus is a kind, caring, compassionate practitioner with a contagiously cheerful energy that he brings to his work. Treat yourself to a massage – your body will thank you!!
