Absolutely adorable place. Paths outside to walk around and enjoy seeing the sweet ferns. Amazing breakfast where they will cater your nutritional needs. Great place for a romantic get away or fun place to get away in nature with the family.

Let me start by saying I've stayed at just about every hotel, inn, travelodge, etc. in Mt. Pleasant, Clare, Harrison and Houghton Lake in the last 30 years. If you're looking for a GREAT place to stay, the Sweetfern Inn is it. Every part of the experience was very pleasant. The rooms are neat and very clean. The food is excellent and the hosts, Bill and Barb, are genuine good people. If this is your first trip to this area or Michigan stay here and you will experience firsthand why people say Michiganders are some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet.
