The women at the front desk are the rudest people I have ever seen in a doctor's office. My mother is out of her heart medication and has been for five days after her doctor left and they haven't assigned her a new doctor despite her calling every single day multiple times a day which happens so frequently, we've been through four doctors in six years and they were incredibly rude and did not help at all. I have never heard a receptionist have such a nasty tone when speaking to patients. I would not recommend going to this clinic, take your business to a place where they care about their patients.
I'm not 100% clear on the negative experiences recently. I had a completely normal, professional transaction at the front desk when checking in. This is a SAMG location, so everything is consistently clean and in good repair. Grateful to have a clinic so close to home!
Doctors, nurses and office staff are great, but billing will rip you off five ways to Sunday. Report a billing error at the clinic and all they can do is give you the phone number for Billing. Call Billing and they will only say "that's what the clinic reported" and they refuse to contact the doctor or clinic to even verify. They know it's more trouble for you to change doctors and hospitals. I recommend immediately reporting billing errors to insurer before clinic is cut a check. I've had to do that on multiple occasions.
My wife received false results in lab work stating she had codine in her system. She is allergic to that. My wife wanted to come in immediately to retake . She said no. Then terminated her from all future appoint. She is unprofessional and nasty.
I am a middle aged woman who has had a significant medical history dating back to being a child. I have walked through the doors of many medical facilities and have seen many specialists. I have complex PTSD from a childhood of trauma including over 2 dozen hospitalizations- having said that I can honestly say I appreciate everyone in this office. They are kind, professional and at the same time able to appreciate the sarcastic humor of a tired patient. Dr. Wani has been incredible in making sure ALL of my medical needs are being met
The women who work at the front desk have absolutely no manners. They are rude. They never smile. And they always speak in a monotone voice that makes you feel like they're not listening to you. I absolutely love the eye rolls and attitude the dark haired woman who sits at the end has. I'm so tired of these front desk women that I'm slowly switching healthcare providers. It's a shame because I like my PCP. I was simply dropping off papers this morning and I got there as soon as they opened. You would think somebody would be in a decent enough mood to maybe smile and greet me nicely. NOPE. I'm so tired of it. Last year when I called in to make an appointment and requested a test done the woman at the front desk had the nerve to tell me that 'I'm lucky because my insurance I don't have to pay anything if she were to do there it will cost her hundreds of dollars...' I did tell the doctor I was seeing that visit, she was appalled and we both told some higher up lady. Obviously nothing ever changes at that front desk.
I was very sad to see Dr Gerod leave this office. I didn’t know how it would be with Dr Ives, so I was cautiously optimistic for my first appointment, some time ago. Dr Ives, the receptionists and my two favorite nurses, Monique and Beth, never fail me. Each is professional but compassionate and friendly beyond measure. In fact, they have always been on time or just a few minutes behind schedule- to me, that is worth the wait because each person takes the time to not only take care of my medical needs but we chat about life in general so much that I feel like I am out to lunch with great friends instead of being in a doctors appointment. My mom, whom I cherish and love more than life, goes there and I know that if I am unable to make it to her appointment with her, it’s perfectly fine because I know she is in compassionate, competent and not good but great hands! Always.
Used to be a wonderful Doctors office with nice polite staff who made you feel welcome. Pity that is no longer the case. I'm tired of feeling that I am am an inconvenient interruption to their day. I'm expected to know about changes office procedures although I've been doing things the same way. I don't expect the staff to know how to do my job and in return I don't have to know how to do their job. I'm frustrated with trying to call without wait times so i come in in person. Time to look for a new Doctors office after 26 years.
Since this clinic saw free to cancel my annual appointment, AGAIN, I've decided to discontinue my business with this facility. I have been going to this location for over 25 years, and in the last 5 years, I have had my annual visits booked months in advanced cancelled weeks before the appointment date, for no apparent reason. I'm tired of playing appointment tag with you people. I'm a patient. If I'm not a priority, and I'm just an inconvenience and a name taking up a slot in your system, then let me do you a favor. Slot is free now. Bye!
This was the worst patient experience I have ever had. Had a great doctor in Dr. Girod. She was such a good doctor she accepted a promotion. Her replacement Dr. Lauren Ives. Dr. Lauren Ives is very uncompassionate, unwilling to listen, unwilling to work with patients that really need a good doctor. The wait time for Dr. Ives since she has take over has averaged to be AN HOUR! If you were considering Valley Clinic or Dr Ives. I would strongly encourage you to look else where.
