Really loved the vibe and my experience at restaurant Suwu. Both the food and service were amazing. The cocktails and wine were great and the music made the night even better. Perfect for a date or a get together with friends.
The food was just not it for me. We ordered fried chicken and French fries and it wasn't good. The table was too small to accomodate 2 water glasses, 2 cocktails and 2 plates of food. There aren't many food options to choose from to begin with. Was looking forward to a good experience but it was a flop for me.
The food was alright, but a bit too pricey for its portion i’d say mostly for the burger, but I liked it hahaha But other than that, the place looks great, I enjoyed the music, and the staff was really chill. ‘Will definitely come back :
Used to be a decent place but has turned around after covid. Their happy hour which was a staple is now gone. I understand that money may be tight during covid but as a restaurant you just can’t serve greek salad that looks like this. It had no feta, and like 3 tomato slices with the middle green parts still present. Very disappointing and honestly shocking.
I wanted to come for a drink but the waitress was pretty rude so I left. Too bad cause it looks like a cute place.
Pros: -Tasty drinks -Decor's cute -Food was decent Cons: -This place was LOUD. I get that it gets dancier as the night goes on, but when I went the vibe was drinks, dinner, and chatting. No one was dancing. So tell me why the music was SO loud that I couldn't hear the person sitting across from me. Legitimately TERRIBLE. -This place doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it upscale dining like their pretentious cloth napkins suggest? Is it a wine bar like it's decor suggests? Is it a date spot like it's weirdly dark lighting suggests? Is it a club like it's music and dj suggest? It feels like they try and do all of these things... badly. -Everyone at this place is AGRESSIVELY straight. I have never see so many groups of dirty 20 yo men in champion hoodies and comme des garçons shirts. All the women wore some variation of the same cute black cocktail dress. They all looked like waitresses. No one had any personality, and I'm convinced everyone hates eachother. -Why is there a single tv playing football? For the cringe boyfriends brought along by their boring girlfriends. -No mirrors in the bathroom? -I ordered one drink and it took over 30 minutes to get it. Maybe this place wouldn't have been so terrible if I was allowed to drink, but I guess they don't want my money because it took FOREVER. -Bills took forever This place is for boring people who hate their friends and want to take cute photos to convince their instagram following that they have a personality. If this is you, you'll love it.
The most awful experience of any night out. My friends and I were literally peed on by a man in the washroom for taking too long in the stall. Although suwu brands itself as a nice resto/bar, my time there mimicked more of a small town campus dive bar but not in the iconic way. Lovely marketing, terrible service, horrid crowd & a bad sound system. The door lady was sweet though! My next therapy bill will be sent through to suwu management xx
Visited on a Tuesday evening for Happy Hour. We ordered the mac&cheese grilled cheese and the fried chicken. Both were average at best. The fried chicken tasted burnt and the grilled cheese was dry. Nevertheless the atmosphere is very nice and the service was good. I wouldn’t recommend it for happy hour though since the drinks aren’t that great.
Beautiful atmosphere and tasty foods. Had the fried bocconcini and mini falafel as appetizers. Would recommend both. I had the burger which was good but nothing special and the onion rings with spicy dipping sauce were tasty. We went early on a Sunday so drinks were two for one - very sweet but good.
Good food food and decent cocktails. Not a huge selection of beer on tap and service was ok but not exceptional for the level of business. A little more attention to customers and more local brews and this place could easily be a 4/5 as the loom inside is beautiful and it has a lot of potential.
