I’ve been here many times and always leave happy, full and glad I stopped by. Haven’t been in a while and just came to have a nice supper out. This visit was probably the best plate presentation we have yet. Thanks Sushi Wara
We found this spot on our way to Shawnigan Lake and stopped for a quick bite to eat. Fairly priced and decent service. Place was generally clean. Food was fresh and we were Servies pretty fast. Staff were friendly.
The food and service here are exceptional. Sometimes they get extremely busy, as there are only two servers, it’s really hard for them to handle all the coming order at one time. However, they always try their best to serve everyone. It’s sad that some of the customers do not understand service industry, blaming hard working servers for their unsatisfied personal demands. If they have any experience working in a rush restaurants like this, I believe they won’t complain like that. Anyway, it’s my favorite sushi place on the island and I highly recommend the service and food here. It’s a hidden gem in Ladysmith.
We stopped by for dinner tonight and left very satisfied and impressed. Everything tasted amazing and the presentation was exceptional. We really enjoyed the mega lobster roll as seen in the picture. We will be returning :

Amazing lunch at Sushi Wara, as always! This was our favourite place to grab a bento box for lunch once a week when we lived here and once again today it was awesome. Service is always prompt and friendly and the food is always fresh and delicious. Great to be back for a visit and enjoy what’s always been so good for us before.
Love this place! Very good value and fresh sushi. Can't go wrong with the Sashimi boxes. Sad to see my favorite waiter go... but he and his family are moving on to the next part of their lives. Will always make an effort to eat here, whenever I am in the area.Food: 5/5
Food is always really good, however what I dislike about the place is that they want you to pay while you're still eating. They bring the debit machine to your table while you have quite a bit of food left to eat. Rushing customers is a sure way to not get tips. We were going to order a bit more to take home but they were so pushy to pay that we didn't.
We order from here very regularly and the quality never falters. Amazing sushi, nicely put together even for take out. THE place for sushi between Duncan and Nanaimo in my opinion.
I have not eaten here but they let my daughter use their washroom when KFC next door wouldn't, so for that you are 5 stars in service!! I have been to other sushi wara's and the food is always delicious so I'm sure this one is no exception! I will stop in next time I'm in the area to order food! Thank you!Food: 5/5
