My family and I stopped by this evening for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. The tempura was wonderfully crispy and airy, and the ramen was flavourful and chewy. The staff were friendly and courteous, going above and beyond to provide us a great dining experience. The restaurant itself was very clean and well kept, with a welcoming vibe. We will definitely return on our next trip to the island. Thank you for the meal!

MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT!! Always so welcoming walking into the restaurant, the chefs are so nice. & the food is outstanding!! My personal favorites there consists of the spicy pork bento boxes and the chicken teriyaki along with so many of the delicious sushi rolls. If you haven't tried Mr Teriyaki & Miss Sushi PLEASE go in and try for yourselves I promise you will have an amazing experience!
I finally food some great authentic teriyaki. Super big portions, for the price. I can't wait to try more of your selections I had the beef & spicy pork combo it was so delicious!Food: 5/5
The best food ever, I’m Literally addicted to the chicken teriyaki noodle dish, a bit expensive, after tip, but worth every penny. Good amount of noodles and chicken, carrots and broccoli, no fillers like cabbage or bean sprouts and stuff like that, it’s 10/10 quality. And the teriyaki sauce is the best iv ever had.
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We came in to order some take out about a half hour before closing. I wanted sashimi but it wasn't on the menu. The owner personally made me tuna and salmon rolls with large pieces of fish to accommodate me. He didn't have to do that, it was very kind of him. It was absolutely delicious. The tempura prawns were enormous. We had a large selection of different foods and all were excellent. While we were waiting for our order, the owner gave us complimentary soft drinks and two California Rolls. My parents and my husband have found a new favorite Japanese restaurant.
Called ahead of time to make sure they were open as their posted hours are until 8pm. They said they are open but wanted to leave early at 730 so we told them we'd be there around 6. Got there at 6:09 and they were "closed". We drove all the way from Nanaimo in the rain. Pretty rude and disrespectful to tell customers you're open and then close because we didn't exactly arrive right at 6 on the dot. Good thing The Spicehut was open to save our night and their food and customer service was amazing.
Very limited and overpriced menu. Service was ok, but nothing special. I guess Ladysmith doesn't have much in the way of Japanese food.Food: 2/5
