Ordered a delivery tonight, not the first time eating or ordering from here. I love the great variety, its always fast and courteous. They are also open longer than other places in town + have deliveries. Great local business, favorite sushi in town!
Sushi Star can be a little pricey if you go for the "All u can enjoy" sushi, but then you can eat a lot. Sushi Star's sushi is also not the best sushi in the world, but it's plentiful and you can eat until you're sick. Not only can you order all you can eat sushi, you can order all-you-can-eat tempura, udon noodles, deep fried scallops, and other Japanese dishes. I cannot give Sushi Star five stars, it loses one for price and another for the quality of the sushi. As Prince George's only all-you-can-eat sushi place, Sushi Star has a place. I recommend it if you want the social experience or gorging with a group.
For an all you can eat place this far from the ocean it isn't terrible, there's better in town. Edit: just finished eating, luke warm salmon and a server with unbelievable BO, actually threw up a bit in the parking lot because I couldn't stop thinking about the warm slimy salmon on my sushi pizza.
My favorite sushi restaurant in Prince George! They have all you can eat for a great price and the food is always very tasty and well presented! We go here all the time! Would highly Recommend it!
Awesome place! Wanted sushi and they were the only ones left open on a later Saturday evening, ordered and got what I expected and they even left a little note explaining they gave me an extra California roll for free and appreciated my business, will order from again!
This restaurant has changed drastically over the past couple years. There have been ups and downs, but within the last year or so everything has been consistent. Good food, good service, although not always the fastest. There is usually new waiters, so be patient while they learn and your experience will be great. Love the all you can eat option if you love sushi, but there is also a wide variety of food. Very good place, one of my go to eat out options.
Has gone from my favourite place to eat to not wanting to return, all in the span of 6 months. Tonight we went and only received half of what we ordered in an hour and a half of being there. I had asked for an update on our missing dishes and had to ask a second time as our server never returned to answer. When we asked the second time we were told that the kitchen simply "missed" our order tickets, and this is not the first time we've heard that. It's a shame as there is a lot of great food on the menu, but the service doesn't do it justice.
I am incredibly disappointed in the "All you can eat" available in the establishment. A group of 3 friends and I went in in the early evening. The restaurant was empty except for another couple. We had to wait 15 minutes to have our orders taken and then another hour before any food even arrived. Keep in mind, that because it was "All you can eat", we ordered only a little bit to start, assuming we could order more after. We didn't get the chance to order again because you may only stay for 1.5 hours for "All you can eat". I was charged $70 for only 12 pieces of sushi and have never been so disappointed in an establishments services.
The food is good, really good. Decent variety. The prices however are sky high. For 3 people, only water to drink is almost $80. Ridiculous price. Then there are the wait times, if you go here, be prepared to wait an exorbitant amount of time for your first item to show up. We went there on a Sunday. One of two tables in the whole place, and it took about 35 minutes for anything to show up, and the first thing we got was some tempura vegetables, a total of 12 pieces for over a half hour wait. The times never improved, for example having to wait for 60~ minutes to get 2 orders of steak which happens to be about a bakers dozen small little pieces. And of course they always ALWAYS forget something, and then the servers give an excuse like how it takes a little while longer to cook a steak. Let me tell you it doesn't take an hour to cook a 4 oz steak. I feel like they are severely understaffed in the kitchen. Anyway, I super hope they make improvements because the food IS awesome, just service is lacking and the prices are crazy.
I was quite excited as I walked into this establishment, the architecture and music was nice. This was all let down by beond slow service, we waited more than 45 minutes for our less than average sushi. The menus are hard read and do not show a clear price; we were mislead by it. The server did little to help us, she left our drinks epmty and failed to give us a update on our food. At the end I was charged $25 plus what I expected the bill to be, in my opinion the restaurant is no wear near the price we ended up paying for it would not recommend.
