"In the early 1970's, Dr. Richard Toren and Dr. Lloyd Tenney formed Surgical Associates of Lincoln, PC in Lincoln, NE. Originally, they officed in the Lincoln General Hospital Professional Building. Through the years physicians joined and left the practice but a stable group of physicians always maintained the core practice.In 2003 Surgical Associates of Lincoln, PC moved to the new St Elizabeth's Medical Plaza. In 2006, Surgical Associates of Lincoln, PC shortened its name to Surgical Associates, PC which it still uses today. In 2018 Surgical Associates, PC moved to its current location in Taylor Meadows Office Park at 1001 S. 70th St., Suite 100 right across from Lincoln East High School."

Dr. Hung removed my faulty gallbladder recently and I am so glad that my PCP referred me to him! He is very kind, well-informed, and he relays information in a way that is easily digestible. He is also very patient and answers every question in full detail to ensure you get the information you are seeking. He was very thorough in the follow up and overall, I am very happy with my experience. I was not enthused about the idea of getting my gallbladder out at 26 thanks, genetics! but he made me feel comfortable with the procedure and, ultimately, I am SO glad that I went through with it. I feel like a million bucks now! Thanks to Dr. Hung and all of the great staff who made my experience so positive.
Love! LOVE!! LOVE DR. HUNG!!! Talk about person-centered care!!!! My GP referred me to Dr. Hung for acute issues with my gallbladder. Dr. Hung and his nurse Lisa were both absolutely awesome!! They are kind, caring, intelligent, skilled, and wonderful human beings!! Dr. Hung listened and gave special attention to my personal concerns. I'm the person odd things seem to happen to, and in surgery, even before removing my gallbladder, Dr. Hung identified and successfully treated a second, very rare, potentially life-threatening medical condition that no tests ordered by 5 previous physicians had identified. I was back home a few hours later, on my feet a few days later, and able to celebrate Christmas with family rather than ending up in the hospital possibly fighting for my life. Dr. Hung, you gave me the best gift ever--health and more time with my girls! Thank you!!!!
Dr. Tabatabai surgically repaired my umbilical hernia – it’s very nice to have a “regular” belly button again! From the first time we met, I realized he’s a friendly, caring person, and he explained what he would do so I was clear what would happen during the surgery. The surgery went smoothly and I am happy with the results. At the follow-up a few weeks after the surgery, it was clear things healed up well and that I could get back to normal activities. Everyone I met at Surgical Associates has been friendly and easy to deal with, yet professional, and I would have Dr. Tabatabai do future surgery on me in a heartbeat.
Dr. Tabatabai was wonderful in treating my husband for a hiatal hernia. He was very compassionate, kind, explained the situation and what he could do to repair it. Would recommend him for any type of surgery that he specializes in. You are in good hands!
I went here for a year without being able to move my case forward. I ended up having emergency surgery with a Dr from here. I then paid my max out of pocket and kept receiving a bill from them. I called and verified with my insurance and their billing department that the bill was not owed. I then recieved a statement in the mail saying my account was delinquent and being sent to collections. The complete lack of professionalism and records in their billing department is a mess. I would recommend taking the extra time and going to Omaha for your medical needs.
I needed hiatal hernia repair after 30 years of being miserable. Dr. Ben Hung was who I chose to go with and I have never looked back. His nurse Lisa was GREAT support and much appreciated. I could go on babbling, but will end with, I am beyond grateful for the gift of healing that Dr. Hung has been BLESSED with. It has changed my whole life. SOOOOOOOO GRATEFUL.
The staff is rude, specifically the nurses and the receptionist named Nancy. They also refuse to give any type of information that helps with resolving their scheduling problems. They also call to have you reschedule appointments at the last minute for the situation I do understand why, but my issue is that they rescheduled the appointment for later in the day assuring that appointment would be kept and then were unable to keep the appointment and stated rudely that they told me not to come in at that time when nothing had been said to me. When you ask for information on if your appointment could be done via phone or telehealth, when wait time for next earliest appointment is, or when a better time to call back for the information might be, the staff will attack you rudely saying well don't you understand emergencies happen and refuse to answer such a simple question to resolve the issue. How can anyone be expected to trust their health with a clinic that treats people this way.
Dr. Tabatabai is a excellent, doctor. Made sure all my questions were answered. Educated me before my surgery to make sure I knew all about the procedure.. The staff was very professional and polite.
I have had some of my best experiences at Surgical Associates, PC. They have been friendly with the highest level of professionalism and care. I highly recommend Dr. Tababai and his staff along with all staff at this location.
Dr. Norris ruined my life and my military career. I don't know if he was hungover or what, but he went home after my surgery. I have since had six more surgeries to try to aleviate the pain, to no avail. He left surgical clips all around my abdomen, and in my pelvis. He waited a year and a half to refer to another surgeon to try to fix it, know that in Nebraska, medical malpractice suits have a two year statute of limitations. I was medically discharged from the military, less than a year from an active duty retirement. I live with constant pain and cannot even sit down without severe pain that makes me vomit.
