Supermarché IGA extra Shawinigan

The IGA Extra is a very nice store to shop. Always clean and well lit and decorated. They have regular specials and promotions with a special program suggesting budget friendly items and recipes by TV’s Ricardo provided each week to help with your shopping list and meal planning. Sales are regular for things most households use such as cereal, bread, yogurt, eggs, bread and others. The prices have jumped like everywhere else but it is what it is in this inflationary economy. They no longer accept Air Miles cards but have changed to the Scene+ loyalty program.

Good grocery store with a good but slightly limited choice of brands. A little bit more expensive than some other similar stores, so be prepared. But still a good grocery experience.

A little limited in selection of food that is not fresh or frozen coming from the perspective of someone from the US. Everything was pleasant clean and well organized. Too many people giving samples.

It was nice to see that they are expanding their organic food section, they have a good variety of fresh produce. Clean place and courteous employees.

Friendly Staff, good choice of products, the prepared sandwiches had a good variety, they also had a good variety of prepared salads.
