Super 8 Timmins ON

Rooms were great and kids had a great time.. breakfast was good and convenient for the family. I was very disappointed in the service tho checking in, when I asked for another key as they only gave one for each room she said they were out, but yet there was a bunch in the back. I asked for a late check out as online it says $40 extra the front desk lady told me I would have to pay a whole other night. It did snow all weekend and when packing and loading the car I went to step off the stairs on the side outside and fell. The stairs were not shoveled all weekend. I injured my back, butt, right leg and left arm putting me off work for 4 days. When I approached the front desk after the incident the lady at the from desk.just laughed. I asked manager to speak with and she said they were not in and gave me a number. Called the next day and pretty sure the number I called was the same lady I dealt with when I fell impersonating the manager after I went through everything she said manger was not in and she will call me back. Still waiting for that phone call.

So grateful for the service I received from the entire crew here. They made my day much better. Thank you for your kindness and making a space for my pet and myself. Meegwetch!

The rooms were clean but not vacuumed daily. The breakfast is the equivalent of a gas station breakfast. The washroom smelled like sewage and was told there's nothing they can do about it.

Everything was great until I used the shower . The drain is very slow and a couple inches of water pooled before I even stepped in. To avoid standing in dirty water I had to go to the far end of the tub where the water was not so deep. Water pressure is really good though. The complimentary breakfast lesser than other places I've stayed. I'm a charter bus driver and I've stayed in a lot of hotels. The offerings are vending machine kinda egg/sausage McMuffins that need to be nuked before eating. There's cereal , muffins, white bread and bagels that you can toast. The apple and orange juice dispenser doesn't hold a lot. Not sure if they refill it or not. The seating area is really small.nThat being said. The room is nice and clean and bed provided comfortable sleep during my three night stay. However the pillows are small and soft. No mix of soft and firm like some other places offer. No backaches. The TV is HD and on the small side compared to other places. These a very clean bar fridge and microwave. I don't use the coffee makers in hotel rooms. To many bad things could be hiding in them. There's the usual desk, only one chair, dresser, iron, ironing board and hair dryer. The bathroom sink drains very good.nThis hotel has two floors, no elevator. Just stairs. Big bonus is that the ice machines are on every floor.

I had the best experience just the last two days, we booked for one night and we checked out and I called back about 7 am and asked if we could keep our room for another night and the held it for us.nTried to get two more nights booked but they were booked solid, the front girl APRIL was gem helping me find a place to stay since my father in law is in hospital and we live two hours away. Thank you April you were wonderful
