Super 8 Austin MN

I was very badly disappointed with this place bad 1st Minnesota impression. First the front desk was very rude then the fridge on the lowest setting froze my food ac didn’t work well turned off and didn’t turn back on. Then my ol man goes to work and the guy that works there uses the door key to knock on my door knowing there is a due not disturb sign on my door and me being butt naked asleep walks in on me. Complained of us smoking in a smoking room all the time. Knocked on door at all hours being nosy and didn’t have any respect. Might be ok prices but the people here are plain nasty nosy and very disturbing

I tried to book it online but it showed me that there was an update maintenance and I had to call to book, so that I thought my booking was failed. However, next day I checked my account and I found out that my money is already paid there. I contacted the hotel and he played dumb and kept saying you had to call to cancel. This is disappointing and annoying.

Although it's a "pet friendly hotel" I was told my 35 pound pup was too big to stay, and they refused to work with us on a weekly or monthly rate for the possibility of staying with them for the rest of our stay in Austin. The pet fee was also 10 dollars a night rather than being one standard fee like all the other hotels we've stayed at. Human greed at its finest. I will definitely not be giving this branch any business in the future, as I'm very disappointed with their customer service and how unwilling they were to work with us. Fortunately, we got a much better deal at a much nicer hotel, so it worked in our favor.

Bath tub looked dirty. Needs to be updated. Caulking in bathroom needs help.

I'm trying to figure out all these bad reviews...are you looking for a 5 star hotel at 1 star prices? I drive truck all over the country, and can tell you what a bad hotel is!!! The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. Plenty of room and clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The heating unit worked perfectly and was quiet, as was the entire hotel. My only complaint is that the breakfast was limited. I managed to find more than enough to get me started in the morning though. Since I stay at so many different hotels/motels during the year I don't normally write reviews, but after seeing some of the harsh reviews for this particular hotel I decided to write. I actually lost a truck key while I was there and just got off the phone with the manager who was literally in the parking lot while we were talking trying to find it!!!
