The motel is conveniently located directly off of the freeway, and is a great little place for the price. The rooms are clean and nice. The beds are comfortable and firm, the staff is friendly. There's not a lot right around the motel, but two exits down the freeway is Austin's main shopping area, and a short distance past that is downtown Austin. The motel has easy access to the nature area and the National Guard Armory.

So I have stayed in this place before and i knew it wasnt the greatest but i also know that you get what you pay for. However on this visit i was very unsatisfied. 1. The bathroom door was practically ready to fall apart and you couldn't close it all the way. 2. Yes we asked for a smoking room but we didn't ask for multiple cigarette burns in the blankets from whoever had stayed in this place before. 3. The wifi was horrible and could hardly hold a connection. 4. This one is scary. Major fire hazard. Went to plug phone charger into an outlet and there was a loud pop and sparks. Surprised we didnt knock out a breaker. Went to use a different outlet and when i unplugged the lamp to use the outlet, the cord for the lamp literally broke in half due to damage to the cord. I had to carefully remove the plug part from the outlet without getting electrocuted as the piece that broke still had live wires showing. I took a picture of the plug and then left it on the nightstand in hopes that someone finds it and gets it fixed but based on the cleanliness of the room i am sure they will just throw it away not knowing what its for and the problem wont get resolved. No i did not bring any of this to the attention of the staff because i just wanted to get the hell out of that death trap. If you want something run down and cheap to stay at, this is the place. I will not be staying at this location again and for those that do, just be warned that you are doing so at your own safety risk. I will also be reporting this to the better business bureau and to the local fire marshall.

Management did not seem to care that our stay was less then satisfactory. The A.C. did not work in our room and we had to get fans to cool the room down. When the manager finally came to check on it he said it was working, as he was standing in front of a fan after adjusting the broken thermostat (that I had already had on the lowest setting). We will not be staying here again. Sad how the new owners have run the place down.

The room was evidently not cleaned. The location of the room is adjacent to the intetstate offramp, noise is as you might expect foe that.
