I found my place to go for my favourite and recommended dinner- Kingfish Dinner. I also enjoy the side of plantain - perfectly ripe and fried…those I enjoyed so much I forgot to take pic but will post next time I order. I also ordered 2 pieces of fried chicken for my meat eater and review is 10/10 ….for fellow pescatarian like myself, I cannot recommend enough the king fish dinner…kingfish comes with side of coleslaw, nice& peas and gravy if you want. The portion is just right for me. I suggest getting there/ ordering early in the day l so you have more options to order from and enjoy. They open early and serve breakfast menu as well. Might check it out in the near future.

Had the opportunity to stop in here the other day and I can say I was glad I did, it took one visit to be hooked! The oxtail the curry goat the flavours of both melting into the beans and rice OMG. Went back again today to grab there fried and jerk chicken and both are so full of flavour without being greasy. Highly recommend
The food is inconsistent AT THIS OAKVILLE LOCATION. Sometimes good and other times a waste of money. Customer service is disgusting. And that’s if they even answer the phone. Ordered a family meal for 4 but got the same amount of rice they serve in a meal for one and was yelled at when I called to receive the rest of my order. Rudest service I have ever experienced. THEY WILL NEVER GET MY MONEY AGAIN!!! This review does not reflect the standard of other Sunrise restaurants as I have been a loyal customer since the original location on Kingston rd in Scarborough and frequent many other locations without issues.
Many words to describe this place and its food: amazing, CHEAP, DELICIOUSSS, flavourful, and MANY MORE! I have been here many times and the food is very consistent and everytime I get their food, it tastes better than the previous time. The customer service is also very nice. They treat you like a family member. This is definitely my go-to Caribbean spot.
Love this spot! Great food, always fresh and always a healthy serving. I've had the jerk chicken with rice and peas, the oxtail dinner and decided to try the king fish meal which was also very good. Very good quality meal and reliably good food every timeFood: 5/5
Hit or miss. I agree there is one woman working there who I thought hated me. But seeing as there are others who have the same response from her. But regardless. I can put up with unfriendly if the food is good. The service is greatly inconsistent. I ordered 3 jerk chicken meals recently and the portion of rice in all three was laughable. The stingiest portion of gravy over the rice as well. The gentleman behind the counter is by far the nicest of most places I’ve been to and his portions are proper. It’s the two ladies. Worst of all was the young lady who served me, giving me the laughable portion of rice and even less gravy. Worst I’ve had since going to this location for years. Stingy! Not worth the money.

OMG living in Oakville I didn’t think I would find good Caribbean food. This place is GREAT! Friendly service and something for everyone! I had the goat on rice and beans. Just the right amount of curry & rice to soak up all that delicious sauce. Absolutely delish! I can’t wait to try the entire menu!
