I ordered a goat roti and double. The total came to $15.80. Reasonable prices, fast service, and the food was quite tasty. large chunks of potatoes that had been thoroughly cooked served to enhance the flavor of the meat instead of obscuring it. Pay cash, but there is an ATM inside. Lots of room to dine as well.
Good portion well spiced the owner was nice, and she seemed to have a local connection with people that would come by... The Jamaican Patty felt like it was bought from the store though but everything else seemed authentic and made in house ... The only thing I would say about this place negatively would be it is kind of rundown inside but covid has hit places this hard.. try it out if you if you live near by
I ordered the jerk chicken with a drink. Quality of the food was good but the chicken had too many bones rather than meat I would say. However, everything was well seasoned and tasted good despite too many bones.
First time trying this and all I gotta say is WOW! This is one of the best restaurants I’ve tried in oakville. Got the chicken roti and it was very delicious- full of flavors in fact. However keep in mind that it’s very spicy. I ordered medium spicy and it felt spicy so if you’re considering medium spicy I’d opt for mild
Always a good lunch option. Fast. Medium is almost too spicy! But always good. Pics are of the goat roti, but they have chicken, beef, and I think I saw butter chicken.
Tried the Chicken roti. Both chicken amd potatoes were overcooked and very soft and had a texture almost like baby food and not appetizing. The roti was not good. Even the color and taste of the curry was strange and very dark. Will not try again.
I don't mind if the establishment is "run down" or old; it's character. The man that served me was polite n customer friendly. Butter chicken and goat roti with 2 doubles. 2/10. The doubles were so mushy it fell apart in my hand. My friend didn't know she was eating goat roti because there was so much potato. The butter chicken roti was tasteless with an abundance of potato. We ate a quarter of the meal and the rest was thrown out into the garbage. Unfortunately supporting local establishments vs saving money in this economy is tough decision to make.
I have been here a few times and have always had great food. Today i went in and got two Rotis one shrimp with medium spice and one goat with mild spice. Both were fantastic and came out of the kitchen quickly. They both turned out fantastic! Be mindful of the spice. If you are not a fan of spice make sure to ask for mild.
I have been going there for close to 5 yrs. But after today's experience, I don't think I will spend my money there. I ordered a chicken roti for take out. When I got home, the whole thing fell apart in the bag. The roti was extremely soggy. I also found only 2 pieces of meat and a whole bunch of potatoes. Very disappointing
Honestly not a fan. Food was good but nothing like back home... First roti shop ive been to where i have to "pre-order" paratha... If youre craving curry sure, but if youre craving west indian food, go to leelas in sauga.
