Good atmosphere, nice and clean. Wasn't busy for a Saturday morning. Service - 4/5 food came fast and we didn't have to wait for anything we asked for coffee, water etc Eggs benedict was a 2/5. Bread was soggy and not toasted, eggs were watery, seemed like they didn't drain them enough. Home fries weren't that great - we didn't eat ours. Basic breakfast - 4/5. Eggs were cooked perfectly, toast was also good. Came with lots of bacon. But once again, home fries weren't great. Coffee - 4.5/5 great coffee Would be a 4/5 if you improved the home fries and eggs benedict. Looking forward to trying again in a few months to see improvements.
Took the grandkids here for breakfast- the waitress was most accommodating in helping the kids get eggsactly what they wanted- scrambled or easy over- and adjusted the fruit to leave out what didn’t suit them. Pancakes were a nice size. The spicy omelette was okay- but fresh hot peppers would have been better than pickled jalepenos. Service was good , place was clean. Would return again.
My friend and I went here for breakfast today. We had been once before and really enjoyed it so as we were in town thought we'd go here again. I'm very glad we did! The service was outstanding and the food was perfectly cooked and served quickly. Our coffee cups were never even half empty before someone was by offering up a refill. Our server was a charming young man who was so friendly verging on flirtatious, which is something this invisible middle-aged woman never experiences!. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat.
My boyfriend and I came in one morning for breakfast and the service was awesome! I ordered the traditional breakfast and my boyfriend ordered the biggie. The food was really good. It was pretty busy but our waiter she had red hair was super friendly and provided excellent service!! Will definitely come back!
I have been here in the past and it wasn't bad at all, basic breakfast and decent service. Now it is a mess. I went in , I haven't been there in months and it has gone downhill. I ordered a water with lemon and my husband a coffee to start. My cup came and literally was filthy. Dried up old orange juice still inside. Yuck. I got a regular breakfast. The bacon came overly greasy as well as everything else on the plate. My eggs were made incorrectly. I ordered well done broken eggs and got over medium. My rye toast was bread not toast. The breakfast potatoes were greasy, fold and old tasting. The service was absolutely terrible. The waitress with the bright colored hair red? Pink? Did not check on our table or refill our drinks once. She loudly complained about the low tip we gave her. Sorry. Not going to tip large when she didn't even do her job at all. Bathrooms were filthy. I would not go back, would not ever recommend.
The food here used to be wonderful. The potatoes were still delicious but that's where it ended. I found with my most recent visit the egg whites were runny on the over easy eggs, the bacon looked like it came from a microwave bacon package, and they've changed the gluten free bread they used to have. It used to be worth the $2.49 extra for gluten free higher add on then most places. Whatever they're using now is so stale I took one bite and threw the rest out. Extremely disappointed.
We've been here a couple of times. The food is consistently good, the service has been fast and friendly, the food arrived quickly. We spent around 30 dollars for 2 people, tip included. It gets busy on the weekends, but we've never had trouble getting a table. Good spot. One of our favorite breakfast places .
My partner Barb left a review a few months ago and it was a very positive one which Sunnyside is usually great. We usually come during the week and we have an amazing waitress and the female cook is outstanding. But we went today on a Sunday and both of our waitresses were horrible and did not know what they were doing and the cook was a young guy, both of our eggs we're slimy and clear and we did not ask for sunny side up. The new crepe is not good at all. We have been here multiple times during the week and again the service is wonderful but the service we received today was extremely poor the waitress seem like she did not want to be there, and do not know what she was doing. I highly suggest more training for some of the staff. We will only come back during the week now and sit on the side where the full-time waitresses and will will ensure the female is cooking before we even order. Thank you so much
Stumbled upon this wonderful place this weekend. Loved the earthy yet bright decor, and the immediate service we received. I love how there were healthy options, and the fact that you can add a pancake to your meal for just $1. Ordered the traditional combo with bacon and sausage, both of which were delicious. The tea and coffee were especially delicious...can't explain what made it so special but it's my favourite breakfast place so far!
Every time we go here they undercook the eggs. The second last time we went, we got extremely undercooked over easy eggs. We asked if they could fix them and they tried to tell us that over easy eggs are supposed to be that runny. It literally looked like snot on the plate. Yesterday when we went we tried to order “over medium” as they said the last time that this is what normal over easy at any other place you go to. Still came runny, disgusting and undercooked. Not worth the money they charge. And this is worth a half off coupon that they offer every month. They need to change.
