I am just commenting on the facility itself. One of the most world famous hospitals in Toronto Canada. Affiliated with University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. Advanced and Cutting edge medical equipment and technology as well as Life-saving Research! Worldwide leading Physicians and Nurse Teams. Specialized in Cancer treatment, Heart and Vascular as well as Brain Surgery etc. over 1,300 beds. With over 1.3 millions patient visits each year!
Great experience here. The staff were amazing. Very kind and thorough. Thank you! Lots of washrooms. Easy to find rooms. Good variety in the food court. There’s also a Tim Hortons in the building. Parking can be hard as the path is pretty narrow, so if you make a turn while looking for parking, you can get stuck behind the cars that are waiting to exit, resulting in wasting time and money. Not much you can do about it but wait it through. Also, you only have 10 minutes to exit after you pay for your ticket, so best to walk to your car right away, as you might get stuck behind cars trying to park and/or exit. Good luck!
I find the staff and employees for the most part, are friendly and helpful. There were a few times when I was lost and asked random employees for guidance, and they went out of their way to help. The lab and diagnostics can be super busy, and for some reason, I always get a bruise with bloodwork, but not at other clinics. It would be great to see reasonable parking fees, but this seems to be the norm. There is a Second Cup inside the main entrance, to the right, and a Tim Horton’s go straight pass the elevators, turn left, keep going.
Not a good experience. Everything takes forever in emergency room. Even they don't have any estimate for a regular item like x-Ray. They say 60 min and over 2 hrs later we are still waiting while my dad is being tortured by impossible-to-sleep beds in here. That's after spending almost 7 hours for the doctor to show up. Please note that the emergency room is not busy at all, as you can see in the picture. I wonder how long would it take if it was a busy night. I would go to North York General instead in which I had a better experience. My dad had donated Sunny Broke for years and had some sympathy.. That's why we came here. What a mistake!
I find most of the staff are friendly and helpful. However, it's not sufficient for lots of patients. So, people should wait for more than usual. There is lots of parking lot with different charges rate. The inside of the building is clean. Also, lots of restaurant and shops are located there for different tastes. I believe that it is one of the best hospitals in Toronto.
If I could give 10 stars out of 5, I would! The BEST HOSPITAL in Toronto. Their staff, Doctors, Nurses are all knowledgeable. Very well trained and always makes sure you have been properly diagnosed before you leave. My family and I have been to the ER a couple of times and we always go home very satisfied by the care and treatment they give. There was a time we went first to a different hospital, they misdiagnosed it and when we went to sunnybrook, 3 specialists came to look at a rare condition and they were able to diagnose it right away and got it treated. Definitely worthy of being the Trauma Centre in Toronto. Research does go a long way. Keep up the good work!!!
Went to Sunnybrook Hospital for a follow-up. - Covid Protocol well in place - Screening at the entrance am already Fully Vaccinated - Information desk, - Clean, well organized - Helpful ground Staff, - Respectable Knowledgeable Specialist - Long Laboratory wait normal for Busy Big Hospital
Odette Cancer Centre - Doctors, staff, volunteers - kudos to you all because it is you that make the hospital so humane, kind and compassionate. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. However, parking at Sunnybrook is just a pipe dream for us seniors living on fixed income. 5-8 hours parking cost is our weekly grocery bill. My wife drops me off and then sits in the car for 5-8 hours in some by-lane. The hospital should really offer some serious senior rate for patients coming in for monthly therapy which lasts almost a day.
I was brought here after a major car accident. I was critical and brought into trauma bay 2, all the doctors were amazing taking care of me. My nurses were equally amazing. I spent a week in the hospital and now being treated as an outpatient. I thank god I was sent to this hospital because they saved my life. I also have went through the ent clinic here and for a cochlear a few years ago, those doctors, nurses, support staff and receptionist all amazing as well! Honestly can’t say enough great things about this hospital. Please don’t go to emerge unless absolutely necessary as they do deal with a lot of trauma patients. I spent a couple nights in ICU and recovery and when I say it was constant trauma patients rolling through I mean it was super busy with those types of patients. Please be patient as they’re continually saving lives. Thank you once again to the Sunnybrook Team :
The longest wait times I've ever encountered in my entire life. Rude unattentive staff. If I could give a 0 star review I would. Came in overnight with a shattered ankle that was dislocated. Was told it was going to be a 7 hour wait after already waiting 3 hours. Whoever does the staffing of this hospital needs to be reassessed. I was expected to wait in the waiting room in excruciating pain. I am unimpressed and disgusted with upper managements inability to run this establishment.
