Portions for the price are incredible. Combos say they start at enough food for 2-3 people which are more than enough for 4-5. Prices of dishes seem expensive but the portions are enormous. Go with a large group of people to get the best variety and great value. However, there's many families that eat there. You will leave with leftovers. I highly suggest ordering a variety of dishes and sharing them. As is common, they bring out food as soon as it's done so your dishes might come out staggered or in an unexpected order.nAlmost all the customers speak Korean to each other and to the staff but the staff does understand English. One that seated us did not seem to want to serve us but all the others were pleasant. They have a button system as well as the option to wave people over.nThe kanpungi and yuringi were fantastic. The kanpungi had a stronger flavoured sauce and was quite sour and less sweet. The yuringi had incredibly an crispy crust, one of the best at being crispy but not crunchy. The sauce was much less strong than the kanpungi. The stir fried jajangmyeong was really good since it had a variety of seafood mixed in. Two dishes had squid and it wasn't chewy at all, just had a snap to it.nThe restaurant is much bigger than it seems but gets quite busy.nYou pay the bill at the front and there's a 10% cash discount.
If you want authentic korean food, this is the place to go. Every dish I’ve ordered has hit the spot. Even better, it’s affordable. I highly recommend the YangJangPi appetizer along with your order. In addition, the classic Jajangmyun or Jambbong. This is the most authentic one I’ve tried across the GTA. You honestly can’t find any place better than this, trust me.
I went to Sunny Dragon, a Korean restaurant with my boyfriend because we were really hungry and wanted to try a new place near home. Sadly, it turned out to be such a disappointing experience. The staff weren’t accommodating at all and seemed to be in a rush even though there weren’t many people inside.nnWhen the food arrived, my boyfriend was in the washroom. I tried speaking to the server in English but she still kept explaining things in Korean even though I clearly didn’t understand. It felt rude and frustrating so I just stayed quiet.nnWhen we started eating, the food tasted like it had been cooked earlier and just reheated. The black noodles didn’t even have meat, and the sweet and sour pork was cold. We were both so upset with the service and food that we ended up eating in silence the whole time.nnIt was our first time visiting and definitely the last. Even though the prices were cheap, I really wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. I’ve written many reviews before but this is the first time I didn’t even feel like giving a single star.
Very good pricing and large portions - we ordered a small Kampunkee - could not finish and packed it. Korean Chinese fusion cuisine.
Affordable meals, friendly staff – they might seem a bit cold at first, but it’s just their way. We’ve been a few times, and the service is always consistent. Food’s good and portions are huge.
