Solid Chinese classics and banquet food. They have private rooms you can book for events as well. Each dish was tasty. The dishes that shined more than others were the honey garlic spareribs, ginger scallion lobster, the crispy soy sauce chicken, and the baked tapioca. The steamed fish was average and a bit tough. The noodles and fried rice were standard. The presentation of the dishes were nice. Overall a great Chinese food dining experience.
Recommended. Food is great and service is fast. Portion sizes are pretty good too - awesome for a big group so you can try many things. We had to wait a bit, but by the time you skim through the menu and decide what you want, your table could be ready. Go for it!
My first dim sum place in Vancouver was a letdown at Dynasty Seafood and I wanted to give it another shot without having to go all the way to the Richmond since there is not much to do there aside from eat. Located on the second floor. Walked in solo on a Saturday around noon and they seated me immediately. The place was packed with Chinese people. The menu is typical, nothing too special or fancy. I ordered siu mai, chicken feet, lotus leaf sticky rice, and xlb. All the food was pretty good. A bit salty as expected. Prices were fair for the portions and quality. Total came out to around $50 before tip. Typical Chinese restaurant service. You have to flag them down if you need anything. Fairly large restaurant. Overall, it's an above average dim sum spot. I recommend it
Very poor service!nWe are going to attend the elders' birthday party, and the man responsible for changing the tableware for us a middle-aged man with a tuft of hair on his head had an unfriendly attitude throughout the whole process.nFriends at the same table only want him to take away the plates and tea cups, as if he doesn't understand and doesn't want to.nThen he took the tableware and threw it into the nearby waste basket.nEveryone was surprised by his action.nMy husband is chatting with the elders next to him, sitting sideways.nHe actually rudely asked my husband to put his legs away, which is inconvenient for him to put his bowl. Do all customers owe him money? Or did family conflicts make him unhappy?nIn any case, the service industry must have a sense of service and at least possess the necessary qualities.nIf you don't have this sense of service, go home and rest!nBy the way... many dishes have light flavors, so it's not recommended to come specifically for dining.
This name has been here for years. In the past it was definitely considered one of the top best places to go. We scroll through the years to now and well… the dim sum has suffered in my opinion. But their dinner is definitely worthy as a heavyweight contender of Vancouver.nnBanquet style dishes. Quality service. Quality food. Dinner is amazing and I highly recommend this place for anyone.nThey host special occasions and events as well. I’ve been to this location many times for wedding events and birthdays, dinner service of course.nnJust wish their dim sum felt more premium…
