Lovely rooftop for brunch on a sunny day. The drinks were pleasant, we tried the Smash It Up and the To Paradise. The food was good. The salmon cakes were tasty, but they were on the dryer side, and the side carrots were a little too crunchy. The lobster benedict were very flavorful.nnThe ambiance is quite nice, sophisticated but casual when sitting outside. The service is attentive.nnOverall a good experience, but I wish the food was a little better considering we spent $110 for two people.
Was in town visiting a friend and she had been wanting to try this restaurant. Food was amazing and so was the service our waiter had a very good sense of humour. Appetizers were just as good as the mains they have the best scallop potatoes I think I’ve ever had! Only thing I will point out is we were seated upstairs and during peak time it was a little cramped because I think they have too many tables jammed on the top floor. We will be back on our next visit!
Great atmosphere and really cool dining area, including the compact bar. The lobster oil served with bread is a unique item and paired nicely. My salmon was cooked well with a nice crust on the outside while remaining moist and tender on the inside. Asparagus and carrots were cooked with nice texture and the sauce complemented well without being overpowering. The portion sizes of protein could be bigger, but overall it was a pleasant and tasty meal. Service was quick and very attentive, food was served within 10 minutes after ordering.
We were brought to this restaurant by family that lives in Vancouver. The service was top-notch. They were super informative and very patient with our large group. Amazing service. the food was excellent. I had the Halibut Cheeks as recommended by the waiter, and they were delicious. My son's Sirloin was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Pavlova desert was very good. It was nothing like appearance-wise back home, but the taste was right on point. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Three of us went to dinner here at 5pm on Good Friday. We walked in without a reservation and were seated shortly which we were surprised, but very happy about. It was a lively atmosphere with live jazz piano music and the restaurant was quite busy. We had cocktails, oysters, mains, wine, dessert and espresso and it was all top notch. Our sever was friendly and very knowledgeable in all aspects of the menu. I didn’t get his name unfortunately. There were lots of staff present in the dining area so our empty plates and glasses were all cleared quickly, and our water glasses stayed full. I highly recommend trying the oysters and the roasted chicken breast, and if you save room for dessert the Joe’s chocolate sin cake is unreal. I would highly recommend Joe Forte’s for a high quality dining experience. I will definitely be returning!
