Not very happy at all with sunlife. My mom passed away and we have a life insurance policy with sunlife that has been nothing but a long wait to see any kind of payout. The purpose of life insurance is to be protected financially in the event someone close to you dies. We have funeral expenses among other things we need the money for and sunlife keeps giving us the runaround. We reported the death on Jan 31st, 2023, and we were told 20 business days till we see a payout. Today is march 20th and sunlife has not even reached out to update us. We have called sunlife a few times and they never return our calls or emails. Never buy life insurance with sunlife as you will not see the protection you paid for, for who knows how long. Get your act together sunlife, or stop offering life insurance policies if you cannot honor your end right away! Huge disappointment thinking we could rely on a huge conpany like sunlife to buy a life insurance policy from. Never doing business with sunlife again! There are much better insurance companies that will pay out the policy within a week! Pay up already!

Completely mishandled my disability claim . At a time when you are already stressed about your health issues they make it so you don't get paid adding to your stress...how does that help one return to work?

Largely a huge waste of time. Yes we got some of our insurance needs taken care of but after hours of presentations and supplying information and documents we were denied. No explanation. Nothing. Very frustrating and disappointing as well as a huge waste of our time.

Had one of the worst experience here. The advisor and manager are both ignorant and unprofessional. During my life insurance application, which feels like I am begging them to sell me life insurance cuz I am the one putting effort in whereas themselves don't seem to care nor communicating with the client. I'd recommend you stay away from this place.

Very poor accessible address online. Also Lady was quite rude and unaware of anything regarding my situation. Much, Much more training required or a new front office girl. This is there downtown office I'm referring to.
