We offer blueberry pies, whoopee pies in seasonal flavors, breakfast pastries, donuts, giant cinnamon rolls, muffins, elephant ears, blueberry turnovers and more! Excellent espresso and coffee, frozen smoothies and Italian sodas. We offer a large selection of decadent desserts cannoli, tiramisu, lemon bars, chocolate caramel creme cake, summer berry stack, chocolate peanut butter stack, coconut macaroons, mud squares, carrot cake and amazing cupcakes! We are not a wholesale bakery, we bake only for our 2 stores."

Had the good fortune of finding this bakery early in our week long stay in the Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park area. We were able to try almost everything over multiple visits. It was all exceptional. Blueberry pie, whoopie pies, the sweet or savory croissants, cinnamon rolls, donuts, cake slices, elephant ears, scones. Don't leave without a coffee to wash it all down. Robin has something very special going on at Sugar Bakery. Thanks again!

Awesome bakery with so many delicious choices, highly recommend! Cookies, pies, cupcakes all absolutely delicious!! Don't leave without trying their fabulous blueberry cheesecake! The Elephant ears are also a childhood favorite of mine, don't miss out!!
Really fantastic selection of whoopie pies, cakes by the slice, breakfast pastries and more. I got a cinnamon roll and it was very large and had a lot of cinnamon mix in it. They don't have decaf espresso to make the drinks with, so the only decaf option is the self-serve brewed coffee. It's cash only and they have an ATM in the room.
We found Sugar Bakery on our first day in the area and had to resist visiting every day! Best cold brew coffee I've ever had, delicious lattes, quiche, raspberry and blueberry croissants, blueberry muffin and whoopie's were all sampled! Highly recommend!
Good bakery for off the island. The lemon bars and espresso are my favorites! The staff is wonderful and inviting!
Delicious baked goods and super friendly staff! We tried the Raspberry Croissant, Chocolate Croissant, Blueberry Donut, Chocolate and Blueberry Muffins, Blueberry Scone, and Blueberry with Lemon Filling Whoopie Pie.
The pastries were just okay. I ordered a croissant and they asked customers in front of me if they wanted theirs warmed up and did not give me that option; it would have been much better warm. Also, a man in front of me had a large order and added to it twice after paying, thus cutting in front of me and everyone behind me.
More than just sugary sweets they also have savory croissants to go with your favorite form of coffee. Prices aren't cheap but are reasonable. Friendly staff! Cash only, but ATM on site is only $2.
The treats were delicious! I really enjoyed the lemon blueberry whoopie pies and pain au chocolat "chocolate croissants" there. Pretty reasonably priced for a small business- comparable for most of the bakeries I've been to. They are cash only so don't let that surprise you before you come in.
