Subway

I visited this location for the first time and it was during lunch hours and I ordered a salad. As i am allergic to gluten i requested the guy to get me the veggies from the back so its not contaminated and although being extremely busy he washed his hands and changed his gloves and got me the veggies from the back. I was really amazed as i got this kind of service which was really unexpected. The best staff and really fast service. Had the best experience and would definitely visit again soon....

I like this place for its fresh bread, its menu selections, price of selections. It is convenient when I shop. It is clean, good customer service, also the veggies that go on the sandwich are fresh too.

Walked in at about 9 on November 1st, employee had his visor off, feet up on the table, playing on his cell phone. He got up reluctantly and was getting ready to make a sandwich without even washing his hands. I turned around and walked right out. He took his visor back off, put his feet up, and glared at me through the window until I pulled away.

Staff was unbelievably rude. I have never left a restaurant on the verge of tears before in my life. It's hard enough finding places to eat when you're allergic to gluten. Despite advertising for Canada-wide gluten-free bread at Subway I was understanding that locations in Lethbridge did not carry it and resorted back to the usual chopped salad. Staff seemed confused about "why I'd even eat there if I'm allergic to gluten" which they felt was nice to discuss with each other in front of me when I informed them of my allergy and asked they change their gloves. They proceeded to disregard the allergy completely using the same open veggies and meat from the case, then proceeding to cut the veggies on the bread crum covered cutting board, getting openly irritated when I asked if they could just chop it in the bowl because I am ALLERGIC. Then the other co-worker whom had been questioning why I would even eat there in the first place came over telling me they touched everything with their gloves anyways so it's up to me if I even want to eat there still. Finally the salad was brought to the till where I saw that they had just thrown all of the meat and veggies into the container whole. I was already beyond insulted and upset at this point and wasn't going to say anything further, my boyfriend had to ask that they chop my chopped salad, which again was a very irritating request for the employee responsible for my meal. Finally got the car to eat it and they had just tossed the lettuce on top of the meat and veggies that were still completely whole in the less than half full salad container. Absolutely the worst experience at a restaurant as a whole. Allergies are a real concern and I ended up leaving paying for a salad I have doubts I could even eat.
