Our go to place to have dosa. It's really worth the price. We always end up getting some for take out. The staff is really really nice and humble. One time we went there late and there were already too many people and I gave up hope that they will call but they called me after 15 minutes that it's ready. They're really nice people and they never accept tips which idk why because those people deserve every bit of it.

Well service is fast, but only 1 person serving all 10 tables? Is owner crazy?nI went during 3pm which is peak hour and saw only 1 girl serving cleaning and taking order. Not a good environment for the restaurant.nI love your taste but not the way you treat your employees. Please do change

My time at Subhiksha Foods in Scarborough, Toronto, was like a flavorful journey back to South India. Sure, the place isn't flashy, but trust me, the heartwarming vibes and incredible tastes more than make up for it.nnStarting with the Masala Tea, it was like a warm hug for my taste buds. The Mysore Masala Dosa was crispy perfection, and the Rasam Vada brought just the right amount of spice. The Payasam dessert? Pure bliss.nnThe ambiance might not be fancy, but the staff is super friendly, and the prices won't break the bank. If you're after genuine South Indian comfort food that feels like a home-cooked meal, this place is a gem. Highly recommended!

We visited this restaurant for an early dinner and first had to make a reservation for our table. The restaurant ambience was decent and not fully occupied.nnThe server at our table was nice and pleasing. She asked us for our order and we started off with ginger tea from the varieties of tea in the menu. I was asked for the amount of sugar i.e. 1-spoon or 2-spoons and I requested 1-spoon.nnThe tea was served very soon and was hot & perfectly made that had the flavours of ginger. I enjoyed it very much.nnThen we moved on to our dinner and ordered a Masala dosa, an Idly & Vada combo, Poori and Chana that came along with vegetable kurma & an Onion Tomato Uthappam. They were all served quickly and tasted pretty good. The masala dosa came with three different chutneys - Peanut/Garlic, Coconut & Tomato. To my surprise, the Sambar was quite cold in all the dishes and when I did let the server know, they immediately offered to replace the cold sambar with the hot one which was quite appreciable.nnThe peanut/ginger chutney was spicy that I liked and the coconut chutney was also good. I felt that the tomato chutney tasted just like tomato puree with not much spice added to it.nnThe poori & chana also tasted good but the portion of chana was quite less. One of the two portions of potato masala in the plate could have been replaced with chana as people enjoy chana more than potatoes :nnIn addition to the above, the Idly was soft and Vada was crisp. The Uthappam also was crunchy and delicious.nnWe ended our order with a dessert Kesari which was hot and had just the right amount of sugar in it. The only thing with the kesari was that it was a bit sticky but overall it was good.nnWe enjoyed the food very much and will definitely recommend South Indian food lovers to try this place!

Food & service are great. The dishes were served hot & quickly. The waitress was pleasant & checked with us a few times if anything else is needed. This is a great South Indian vegetarian place!nMy only issue was the exterior which doesn’t look appealing. Needs some TLC. Looking from outside anyone will assume it’s a dingy place, but actually once you go inside it’s nice.nSince it’s in a strip plaza it might be difficult to renovate the exterior. But at least they could make the entrance & windows more inviting:
